This is true. I took it for granted that you were in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, or some other nation where men don't matter except as workhorses and sources of tax revenue.

If you live in a country where the woman is legally bound to hold up her end just like a man is, then go for it.

In the countries I listed, women are incentivized to dissolve the marriage.

Or would you always end up as beta chump?

It's difficult not to end up that way, but it's not completely impossible. But why make your life more difficult?

Rollo Tomassi the author of the rational male is married. I don't think marriage is a trap if guy's like him are married.

1) he got married years before he started writing, well before men started waking up in significant numbers to what a trap it is.

2) marriage, as conducted by current laws and courts, is a trap and a terrible deal for men. You get nothing good out of it that you can't get while remaining unwed.

Take it from a guy who has been married for twenty years later this summer: marriage is a trap for men.

I have to correct myself, yes there is no reason to marry. I have a mental model in my mind that marriage equals having kids and a monogamous relationship with a woman.

Do you guys think this is possible in our area? Or would you always end up as beta chump?
