Our daily lives are characterized by decision-making. We make decisions
ranging from simple to complex involving our daily encounters. The same
applies to college students. They decide on issues affecting both their
academic and social lives. Their decisions can be influenced by self,
the management, colleagues or parents. The perception of learners
influences the decisions made. Most of them will choose based on their
academic and social goals. The management plays an important role in
influencing students to make a wise decision. This can be through
mentorship and motivational talks. Lecturers use different approaches to
ensure that learners produce the best essays and attain the set goals.
The
management is also responsible for the provision of materials and
services needed by learners to attain their goals. Policies are put in
place to certify that learners have a variety of resources to attain the
set goals. Guardians and parents have a direct influence on students.
They are required to provide support for learners. It could be
financial, psychological or moral support about their goals. Students
interact with their colleagues on a daily basis. This implies that
three-quarters of their choices will be influenced by what their
colleagues think of them in most cases
