Jeremy Corbyn Wants to Decriminalise Prostitution + Channel 4 Debate
Published 03/04/16 by rp_js [2 Comments]

Summary: Politician thinks prostitution should be decriminalised, and channel 4 ask two women on either side of the table to have a debate.

Body: Firstly, I've been reading the red pill for a couple of months now and it has changed my life. Pussy is off the pedestal, and I have successfully adopted an IDGAF attitude.

There have been quite a few posts on the Red Pill Reddit regarding prostitution, but today I wanted to share what Channel 4 reported regarding Jeremy Corbyn (a disliked Labour politician in the UK). I've been wanting to post something on TRP for a while and I believe this is the right time.

Other posts I've read on the red pill mention about female power and feminism concerns when it comes to prostitution. Essentially, a woman's weapon is sex (we all know that, I don't need to tell you how to suck eggs) and they like to think they have a monopoly on their partners; what legalised prostitution does is it makes sex more of a commodity and something that is very easy to obtain - and women hate that, as they lose their power.

Back to Jeremy Corbyn - I don't agree with a lot of his views/policies but then out of nowhere he says that he thinks prostitution should become decriminalised. It was as though a million voices all cried out at once (the voices of feminists, white knights, and other people who don't really have their own opinions) saying how that would be preposterous, without actually REALLY going into detail, except channel 4 news did.

Channel 4 invited two women to debate the issue (yes, two WOMEN - quite surprising). One of these women was an ex-prostitute (who I'll call Lady 1) and the other was some feminist (Lady 2) who believes in human rights, bla bla bla - as opposed to human decision making and free will.
The news presenter asks Lady 1 to begin and Lady 1 proceeds to say that decriminalising prostitution would not actually lead to an increase in prostitution (in the short term at least I imagine), and it would make sex workers safer, no longer fearful of arrest...

The news presenter switches to Lady 2, who says that she disagrees (of course she does) about how the protection of women is the most important thing (stabbing herself in the foot because surely decriminalisation would lead to this), and continues saying that a lot of women "don't have a voice" - that they come from chaotic backgrounds and are forced [by their own free-will] to enter into prostitution. She asks if it's okay "AS A SOCIETY to legitimise the sexual exploitation of women"?

Lady 1 shoots lady 2 down by saying that it is not true "a lot of women do not have a voice [or a choice]", in fact 6%, according to some recent research, of prostitutes are trafficked. This ex-prostitute goes on to say that it's actually just like another job that has its ups and downs, and that the money is actually more than other jobs women work in today. Lady 2 responds to this saying a lot of sex workers suffer from PTSD due to them being 'attacked'. Of course, prostitutes could be better protected if it was decriminalised, preventing that kind of thing from happening.

The word "rape" was used in conjunction with prostitution at one point regarding the PTSD, but if you're paying for normal consensual sex, this can't be too accurate - at least in a court of law I imagine.

Lady 2 also mentions "AS A SOCIETY do we want our children to become prostitutes..." bla bla.

To wrap things up, I hope prostitution does become legal, for the safety of the workers and to deal a blow to feminism, as I believe (as I'm sure others do too), that feminism is not for the benefit of an equal society, but for the benefit of women, when we should be working towards an equal society - whether you are black (oh god, am I being politically correct? I mean African American), white, Spanish, English, gay, or whatever.

I understand my interpretation and opinions might be shot down or corrected, but they are opinions nonetheless and I am completely open-minded to TRP community's thoughts. Thanks for reading.
