The best teachers aren't based on the lineage they come from , the best teachers are those who can articulate concepts based on human anatomy in a diverse way to help their students specific needs.

Agreed. I was/am using "Gracie" to refer to the schools, not the individuals.

@-Anteros-

Every teacher out there is either from the Gracie Lineage (80% or the Fadda lineage (20%)

The best teachers aren't based on the lineage they come from , the best teachers are those who can articulate concepts based on human anatomy in a diverse way to help their students specific needs.

Anyway , you Mentioned John Danaher so I have to give you props for that sincr he's my go to source of knowledge outside the gym. The way he explains and articulates concepts just click with me and his back attack series was a game changer for me.

Also love Ryan Halls concepts.

We literally trained a rubber guard set up three weeks ago on the mats at my " Gracie jiujitsu school " So your last point is fallacious.

Alright one school taught it at least once. Danaher is not out here teaching rubber guard now.

Eddie is from the Gracie lineage and has developed Techniques that also help further the evolution of the game. That's my entire point.

I agree with this, but in terms of the best teachers we're still with Gracie schools.

@-Anteros- Eddie Bravo got his black belt from JJ Machado who got his black belt from the Gracie's lol.

You don't get slapped on the wrist anymore by a professor because you used a technique that didn't fall under the umbrella of their direct syllabus.

@New_Age99

Look up the non Gracie lineages that have evolved out of Brazil at the same time. Gracie's didn't create or own BJJ, they tried to hijack it through media progogana and lies.

I'm sensing a little bit of bias here.

In any case, there are not Gracie branded gyms teaching rubber guard today. While the Gracies did popularize BJJ via UFC they do have the best teachers. Note this does not mean other teachers are not good or that other schools who don't teach Gracie to the letter are bad.

PS , I'm a blue belt in BJJ. I used to train under Nova Unaio. A non Gracie lineage but I now train at a Carlos Gracie school Since I moved.

So I'm not arguing based on ignorance. I'm just saying , there are no accents or limits anymore in the sport. We use what works from every other system and lineage if it works for our game.

Wrestling has been the Most Important factor in my BJJ development to this day.

But in 1990 if the Gracie's thought you wrestled you would have been shamed since back then" Gracie Jiu Jitsu was all you needed."

4y ago  The Hub

@-Anteros- there is no "brand" of jiu Jitsu anymore.

Wrestling , BJJ, sambo etc are all united and all one now. Grappling it self is an evolved system that doesent discriminate to lineages.

Luiz Franca and Oswaldo Faddas students embarrassed the Gracie's students back in the day with leg locks. Look it up.

The Gracie's then eventually Went on to govern and "prohibit" leg locks in IBJJf . They were so ego driven that they made leg locks illegal and looked down upon people who trained them calling them "cheap and poor.

Look up the non Gracie lineages that have evolved out of Brazil at the same time. Gracie's didn't create or own BJJ, they tried to hijack it through media progogana and lies.

Watch a Gracie combative DVD from the 90s and they were modern day mma purple belts at best and the DVDs should have been named " Jiu Jitsu techniques that work against people who don't know jiu Jitsu.

Once the Gracie's started figting wrestlers with hands , it was a rude awakening that they either had to evolve or die.

With YouTube and the popularity of seminars in modern day , we're no liger stricken by lineages and politics.

We use what works and we throw out what doesent.

@New_Age99 Gracie is still the best brand of BJJ, if you want the best teachers its the only game in town. Now, if you're in California, very skinny and very flexible 10p is a good alternative.

The world was struggling immensely, trying to come up with a vaccine for the Covid-19. When the WHO received a letter from Rollo Tomasi...

The following message said:

"Have you explained hypergamy to the immune system?"

The same sidebar that promotes Rollo, the 48 Liberal cuck laws of how to be the perfect post modern cooperate hamster wheel running NPC?

Unfortunate yes.

Have you challenged the retardation of the majority of said side bar? Or are you content to keep regurgitating, VasiliyZaitzev, Whisper , Rollo, Rian and the rest of the shit show because in 2010 they hooked up with some girls at a summer grad party?
