@kimsinrd You don't need a YouTube account to use YouTube. Instagram you do but don't follow anyone you don't think you'll build something with. These mediums aren't going away. Learn to master them. Use them to build yourself up and win the game (IG). These are tools that are using you until you use them.

The startup industry has become a safe haven for the slave wishing to be the master. We'll let him think he's capable of producing value while he pays us. He'll use the tools we create. Others will pretend too. You're all capable of becoming Steve Jobs. Just buy my program. Don't act think. Think about acting. Think about thinking about how to think. Think how we tell you to think. But don't act. Unless we tell you to. We'll provide the justifications for failing, then sell the solution. And if you make it through all those barriers we'll fund you. But since you wont we might as well make a profit.

It's just a giant filter for ideas. It's brilliant.

@kimsinrd Don't block it. The platform is not the issue. It's the way you use it. Reflect on the way you're using it. In addition to that wipe your cookies and cache. Use Brave browser. The trick is not giving companies your data to weaponize against you to feed your neurosis. First Identify this neurosis and what is causing it. Then start with a clean state to form a more productive neurosis.

@kimsinrd Why are tacos cheap? Because its viewed as a cheap food. What makes a taco worth $6 vs $2 or an SEO marketer $20 an hour vs $70 an hour? It's the perceived value of said product. You're in charge of creating the framework of perception.

This isn't just a taco. This taco is a grass fed, blue corn, HMO, cruelty free taco made in house with all organic ingredients. Is it really worth $6? Idk and neither does the consumer. But if they pay $6 then it becomes worth $6. Up to that point it's value is an abstract concept. Companies take advantage of this, but so can you.

It's really a guessing game. The market is the general framework you determine your value in. Push the bounds until you discover a ceiling. Now conversely don't overprice your services. Price it a little higher than they're comfortable with.

@kimsinrd That means you don't know your value. Why would you lower it? You've now priced yourself lower. People are strange in the way of perceived value in relation to actual value. If you charge more you're worth more. Play on peoples irrationality when negotiating.

@Legends_of_Men it's not a surprise when you take into account the average user. There was a window of opportunity to get more users here when the quarantine hit. The site was underdeveloped and underutilized at that time so they stuck to what they knew. One major event will cause the shift. Or we could just talk about girls more and create tinder guides...
