Not all chicks are the same, just 99.99% of them.
Most women and men are products of whatever society was propagating at their time of imprinting. This results in cookie-cutter people that behave and think in very similar manners. This leaves them susceptible to manipulation and other malicious goodies. This may be unfortunate, but this isn't your problem. Almost everyone has access to books.

In ancient times, B.C., women were housewives. They fucked, sucked, cooked, and cleaned. The man's job was to provide for her material needs and protect them from outside dangers. Mainly other men. This left them uneducated and defenseless. With a man around, that wouldn't be a big deal, but if he left, she would have nothing to support or protect herself.
Fast forward to today and we now live in a third wave feminist society. Women are taught that they need to be educated and independent. Work is very important and don't ever let any man tell you what to do. Girl, you are your own man now. The husband and the wife all balled into one!
Reading between the ridiculous lines written here, you can see that the previous front-running women have noticed that something was amiss in both of those mindsets and have tried to change it. The far end of this spectrum has trickled down to what we all deal with today which is a woman that believes that she's entitled to it all, deserves to be pampered, and shouldn't be limited. Interesting.

Many chicks aren't worth it and they can be dealt with however you feel, but how do you go about sensing above average quality in a woman?
There are three ways that I will recommend ordered from least effective to most effective.
If you've seen enough personalities, then you will be able to look at someone and see their mindset. Their clothing, body language, sense of style, choice of perfume, demeanor, etc will tell you most of what you need to know. This isn't as effective as the last method that I will mention, but it can save you a bit of time if you're looking for a specific type. This one also takes the most experience in order to do properly.
Humans have a thousands of thoughts running through their mind at any given time. Those thoughts manifest themselves in many ways such as in choice of words, mannerisms, and current emotion. When there is a lull in the conversation, you or she will say something. That something could potentially be whatever has just passed through your mind, something that you have been thinking about for a while, or something that's affecting you emotionally, etc. Be sure to be dialed in to whatever she's saying until you have a good feel for the way her mind works.
Watch her when there is no conversation going. Does she take your plate after you finish eating, does she ask how your day was, does she like the things you are passionate about and asks questions about them, does she stop you from talking negative about things, does she improve your life? Be objective.
This method will never lead you astray if you're able to kill your preconceived notions and see each of her answers for what they are. In order to sense quality, you must know what isn't quality and what exactly quality is. Although quality is subjective and varies by person, your definition must be tuned to whatever truly impresses you in a woman. Be sure to carefully analyze her response mentally and with your gut. Here are a few example questions and what they may reveal(if necessary):
With these questions, it's important that you control your own disposition. You need to be attentive, calm, and open-minded. While preparing to ask her these questions, don't guide her answers. The more intuitive women will try and appeal to what they think you may like. Also, don't blindly trust her answers. You must be able to spot deceit and ask questions until your gut is fully satisfied. Any bit of manipulation in the quality sensing stage means she is just another low quality female.

In most cases, you will only need the cold-read. In rarer cases, you will actually need to listen to what she says. In even rarer cases, you will have to take the time to ask a question or two from this list. One or two questions will most likely be enough before they stick their foot in their mouth. I have yet to meet a female that passes all of my quality criteria.
Most women, won't ask you questions because they aren't curious about anything. They don't give a shit about your mindset or getting to know you outside of what other chicks you're talking to. In time, you will be able to gauge quality fairly quickly. Once it has been properly gauged, don't bother gauging it anymore. Keep her where she belongs - an accessory that adorns your life in whatever ways you please. Don't help her when gauging for quality. Ask your questions and receive the answers objectively. The hardest part is allowing the chips to fall where they may because it takes a lot of discipline. Keep her where she slots herself - High Quality or Low Quality.
In time, you will come to realize that very few are worth more than just a fuck/dinner/whatever you want. The ones that are, water them like plants and help them grow. Everyone else is just a tool.
