@TakeHerToAGayBar In the end, we're luckily not stuck in a military system where you have to climb ranks in order to challenge the leadership. You can still do it on TRP even as a no-name, you just have to do it properly.

Precisely. This is what keeps us sharp.

At the end of the day, all that matters is if the idea is good. Not who says them.

@INNASKILLZ2K20 I respect you bro, and this is why I'm gonna write this shit-long post underlining some of the FEW frameworks you're missing here.

First, lets get the obvious out of the way. Any proper hierarchical structure is bound to have sub-groups that mingle among themselves. This is a common practice that is very old, as it was practiced in military of Roman Republic, and probably even further back than that.

In our days, you can look at it from a perspective of a crew on a ship and how they eat their meals. Captain - the highest authority on a ship, eats alone. The officers under him mingle with each other, and then comes rank and file, that also mingles with each other. Rank and file does not have the ability to sit there and eat with the officers, but the officers and the captain can from time to time descend from their "ivory towers" in order to mingle with sailors and probably boost their morale (or get a read on group).

TRP is obviously not a navy or a military, but you still can "kind of" view it in the framework of one. There's the admin or head mod that is kinda like captain, and ECs that are the officers ranked below them. They don't have the power to make you scrub that toilet with a toothbrush, but they do hold enough weight to cast votes for the next "ascension" of ranks.

It's not a conspiracy that there are secret "chats". Every chain of command needs space where it's just them and not rank and files because, what is the opinion of a young untested soldier compared to the opinion of a veteran officer?

Now, with the basic framework established, we can now dive deeper as to what has happened. And before I begin, don't take it personally bro, take any and all situations as a learning experience.

What has happened here, is that you have directly challenged a "high-ranking officer" when you're a "lower ranked" one. You're not a common rank and file, you've provided great content and with that you were awarded your "new rank" - I look at you as a centurion. But you're still not on the level to challenge the system in the way you're currently challenging it. You're still just a Centurion openly raging against a Legatus.

It doesn't matter if your opinion is legitimate or not, what matters is that you're not respecting the command structure. GLO was allowed to rage against his fellows because he was a Legatus just like them, but you're not one yet, and worse yet, for every challenge consequences are usually to follow. If there were no consequences, any and all shmucks would challenge the structure, which in the end would have invited unnecessary chaos to the system. In this case you got "stripped" of your rank.

Finally, lets look at the last piece of the puzzle - the people you are dealing with. You're attacking a Legatus with a very impressive following. He's got plenty of loyal legionnaires to jump at every opportunity to defend him, more yet, he's got plenty of other Legatuses that respect him enough to chime in their two cents.

Knowing all that, are you sure that insulting him the right way to do it?

You're a psychologist dude, surely you've had a couple of cases where you had to adapt your framework in order to achieve success? I know quite a bit about the scene there myself and I can tell you quite confidently that sometimes it pays of to be flexible.

So again, what do you think is better?

"Rollo/James Skepp sucks because this, that and the other"

or

"Rollo/James Skepp has a great framework of ideas, some of them however can be improved upon. This is my belief "continue writing a congruent smart post that neutrally challenges the bad parts, but at the same time does not discredit the creator".

Which one of these two do you think has greater potential to make people start thinking for themselves?

In the end, we're luckily not stuck in a military system where you have to climb ranks in order to challenge the leadership. You can still do it on TRP even as a no-name, you just have to do it properly. Write a good thread underlining your opinions, compare in this thread the framework established by those that came before you, and instead of raging against them, simply improve it.

There's no need to pick up the eraser and wipe out the entire canvas.Just wipe things here and there, and paint in your ideas on top of what you though was done badly.

@theultmatecad You can do everything right, be the most perfect guy who knows all the tricks in the book, but sooner or later the idea of "something new" will rot away at all the foundation of a relationship.

You've both have fucked each other for a hundreds of times, she has given birth and her looks aren't as good as they used to be. Now all of a sudden, a younger, hotter bird comes along and shows interest in you. She doesn't shit test like your wife, she doesn't push boundaries and she's less annoying overall, so what's stopping you? More importantly, what's stopping a woman if she ends up meeting a male version of the latter.

Finally, what kind of life is that really?

Being this machiavelian master mind that is always four steps ahead of his wife because if he isn't it'll all go to shit. Fuck that.

Take my 50% - or less if I manage to find that mythical "prenup" document that actually works, and I'll take the child thank you. If I'm smart about it, I'll even win the weekends or the 3 to 4 days a week split at which point I'll be quite happy and content. Unlike my mental health and energy, I can always earn that money back.

Besides, Girlfriends>Wives.

@INNASKILLZ2K20 Rollo is like training wheels. Past a certain point you have nothing to gain from him, but that does not mean that his content is bad.

I don't follow Rollo either, as I've already read his books and the key essays he wrote years ago. The new gig he has on YouTube consists mostly of "reacting" to dumb shit of the world and to parrot the same stuff he did before - granted he most likely wants to move all of his content on video format. But just because you and I are no longer his target groups, does not mean that his past contributions were shit.

What I do agree with you on, is that a lot of people need to let go of "elevating people" into these mythical positions. Rollo is just a guy who contributed good content. You don't have to picture him as this mythical Demigod with perfect looks, body, intellectual capabilities and a big long schlong to top it off. Picture him as a god damn human with his own faults and issues, as nobody is perfect.

But again, that's not the fault of the content creator, it's the fault of the mentally challenged readers desperately looking for any and all father figures they can find.

There's something broken in a person who clings and elevates any and all people - that are willing to extend their helping hand, into something they're not. It's a self-destructive behavior because sooner or later, your expectations will exceed the reality. Then will come the disappointment and finally a form of disgust, because "why can't you be the mythical hero I want you to be?"

@INNASKILLZ2K20 I get your mindset, I really do. Being jaded and cynical can lead to depression and overall "life sucks" attitude, but that's on the reader and not the content creator.

A fine analogy is that of a bear. It looks big, clumsy but also quite innocent. People that do not know better will try to feed it, but they don't realize that once they've done it, this dangerous innocent looking killing machine will keep coming back until it finally catches you with your pants down. At that point, it will forget about all those times you've fed it, and simply maul you down because it's hungry. The fault of the feeder is that he should have known better.

The whole shtick with wymn is kind of like that. You need to know the nature of the beast you're dealing with, and sadly that nature is pretty shitty across almost all fields we men appreciate. The knowledge of that nature is pretty jading unfortunately.

With that said, people need to learn is that you need to keep that knowledge, that jadedness and that cynicism, at the back of your head. You shouldn't focus on it, but neither should you forget it. You can still enjoy a good time and company with women, you can still enjoy the moments. Sure it sucks when she whispers into your ear mid fucking "I fucking love u" - only for you to think "yea right bitch, not falling for that", but at least you won't get "mauled to death" because you didn't know better.

Falling into trap of "you either go jaded, or you go fulfilled happy-bro" is not the way either. Both of them are extremes, as in black and white extremes. The real way to deal with it is to not focus on JUST black or JUST white, you focus on all of it. It's white, black and grey. It's happiness/fulfillment, jadedness and cynicism together with the a healthy mind that knows when to use what. Unfortunately, it's not easy to reach that point.

In my personal case, like many people here, I started with a very "white" way of thinking, which of course got me burned. Then I went the opposite way and colored my thinking "black", but at that point I ended up being so jaded that I wanted to feel that "whiteness" again. Guess what? Got burned like a motherfucker once again. The point here is that after enough of these "trials", you'll reach a state where you are no longer either black or white, you're both.

@TakeHerToAGayBar this has always been triage. Help those who want to be helped in the ways you can, let the rest burn...

I've largely left this place because they also seem adamant that everyone around them burn too

3y ago  The Hub

@TakeHerToAGayBar I'm aware of it I was the same way. Watching a fitness trainer whose been on dbol since he was 23 talking about natty dudes in their 40s about lifting makes me SMH too.

E.g. I've been hit by a car when I was 30 I've got permanent arthritis from it. My sailing time has me with bad tinnitus and lower back problems that I've had to work around since I was 25. Getting successfully out of your 20s will give you nagging injuries. You start to realize being awoke ain't as important as you thought and staying healthy matters more. You're just as attractive with a strong frame good game, social proof and a good enough lifting regimine. My brothers got ACL and MCL tears, his shoulders had 2 surgeries and he's 35... He picks up girls ten years younger than him before finally settling down recently. The point is that this puritan bodybuilding narrative is not just wrong, but dudes are going to cripple themselves by 30. It's damaging advice and they be better off just being a plow horse to some Trad chick, at least then they won't have a snapped back.

Plus, if you're on testosterone in your 20s theres a good chance you'll he sterile in your 30s when maybe you want a family. Theres a guy on twitter named Ethenes who fucked himself over that way, but he's shredded so that's all that matters right?

Personally, GLO and the synchophants have made everyone so indifferent that I would not care if they snap their shit and I imagine some people would take some pleasure in it.

Notice how this is antithical to the point of this place.. good job boyos, they've anti socialled themselves into the same shithole they came here to get out of.

@Rian_stone I'd argue that it's a maturity issue.

Those of us who had an alright childhood growing up, try and remember how you were when you were 16. I don't know about the others, but I was the epitome of youthful arrogance.

"Fuck dad, fuck my mom, fuck the teachers, you ain't shit - I'm better than all of you.".

But the issue was that it wasn't really the case. I was just a stupid arrogant teenager who wanted to be taken seriously. Thing is, I didn't have the qualities that would have allowed others to do so. In the end I outgrew it after coming face to face with realities of this world - by getting burned a couple of times, but I fear that a lot of people have to yet to outgrow this phase on TRP.

Worse yet, how old are these dudes? I can bet your ass that most of them are in their 20s, and they're still acting like 16 year olds, at which point you start to wonder just how fucked is our current system to it's children? How far have we fallen that people are starting to have a sort of "delayed adolescence"?

Meanwhile, these teens in adult bodies, are sitting at the table where grownups are, and are stupidly challenging them on idiotic shit.

"You gotta do this if you wanna succeed" - some wise TRP guy. "Fuck U, you don't lift, ur a faggit, fkn boomer, life sucks for me cuz of u!"- is what he gets in return.

Worse yet, most of the times, the guy is making a good point, gives a message that if applied correctly will setup oneself for success. But he's getting drowned out by idiocy, and worse yet, similar teens in adult bodies, see this behavior and wrongly take it for weakness. "He didn't fight back against this obvious challenge, it means that he's a loser and his advice sucks".

What these people don't get is that most of the guys that are above 30 are past that crap. They've been there, they've done it, and they've realized that there's absolutely nothing to gain in it in this kind of situation. Unfortunately, their unwillingness to slap their dicks on the table - in order to measure who's the biggest fagget in here, is sadly taken for weakness.

I guess there truly was timeless wisdom in letting children, teenagers and young adults "earn" the right to sit at the grownup table. If you're not ready, well.....I guess that snotty brat at the children's table will have to do.
