@TheStoicCrane right, but my point is we only use the analogy of the matrix because of what it signifies, the leather trenchsuit hacker world is irrelevant, hence without the matrix, we would have to refer to platos idea, which is the original. @herodotus Incidentally she a hand in "The Terminator" as well which is speculated to be the same world as "The Matrix". Plato wasn't writing anything about homicidal robots in his day.

@herodotus Hollywood ripped the content directly from Sofia Stewart's work for The Matrix. Plato's philosophy may have possibly influenced her work but that's not what was shown on the big screen.
