So I have a real problem with keeping my mouth shut on social media. Its like a rush when people back my ideas and even more of a rush when I destroy theirs through debate. I decided this last week to Unplug from social media and delete my Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat after getting into an argument with a liberal feminist that I actually like in person just hate her political views and she is my coworker. I got into an argument with her and actually had women backing up my argument and she started crying bully and making Human Resource-like threats. I realized then how dangerous Facebook was and that yeah perhaps I don't need to be on a platform like that if I cannot control my urge to speak out. Even more interesting and to make me feel like I am on the Truman Show even more than I am a really good documentary on Facebook came out on PBS Frontline. So far my experience of unplugging has been a freeing one. I do go on my reddit way to much as one of the other primary purposes of unplugging was to focus more on my work at University.

I got into an argument with, get this, admitted sex workers. When I said it's better to lift than buy shit for women, the knives came out. It was unreal. Apparently I'm an Incel who will die alone. What was really interesting is about every other comment had to do with male tears...I saw a glimmer of what Incels go through.
Some advice: Don’t confuse silence with retreating into your shell. Plenty of men stay silent as they relentlessly try to better their high scores on Fortnite- that’s no real skill. Much better to practice the hard mode skill of owning the water cooler, practice listening to feminist bullshit from the peaceful calm of a well-maintained frame before delivering the coup-de-grace in the form of little more than masterly amusement.
