Must love the truth.

As we approach this Christmas season, it's good to turn to the Scriptures (as it always is) for some deeper insight. And, for the record, we mean insight and reflection offered to us by the Church who gave us the Scriptures — not our own personal opinion of what they mean.

In the last 50+ years, there have been loads of various editions published (some obviously much better than others), and around Christmastime, my eyes are always drawn to one particular passage and how modernists mangle it. It's the scene with the heavenly hosts joining the angel in the night sky above Bethlehem, singing "Glory to God in the highest" at the birth of our Lord.

Many editions report it as this: "Peace on earth. Goodwill toward men." That is such a bad mangling and corruption of what is actually sung by the angels that it seems it couldn't be anything but deliberate. What they actually sang was, "And on earth, peace to men of goodwill."

Evil never stays isolated.

Evil is never compartmentalized. It spreads like a grease fire, overflowing into all aspects of a place. A person is not both good and evil at the same time. And for clarity, we aren't talking about people simply sinning, giving in to temptation and then going to confession.

We are talking about the embrace of evil — not just bad, sinful acts. A person can be fundamentally "good" but still sin. That understanding fits nearly everyone struggling to work out his or her salvation in fear and trembling.

No, here we are talking about a situation where a person has given himself over to evil, embraced it. Such people are fundamentally bad. For them, salvation is a much more difficult goal, for they do not even recognize the need for repentance.

Dominion Voting Systems is certainly making a lot of news these days, understandably. The question that arises is not if electronic voting systems like Dominion are subject to hacking and switching votes and so forth, but if it can all be proven in a court of law in enough time to show that it did happen.

The question of "if" is already answered. The state of Texas out and out rejected Dominion precisely because it was not secure. Likewise, Democratic senators (including Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren) wrote a letter in 2019 raising the same concerns.

Should we be concerned about all this? Is it possible? Before the election, NBC News and PBS each did segments on computer hacking and election integrity, raising the very same concerns. So "yes" is the answer to the very first question.

So you thought it was going to be easy to attack the gates of Hell, did you? Wherever did you get that idea?

In fact, judging from how so many Catholics are unengaged in the spiritual battle and are more concerned about being polite, non-judgmental and inoffensive, it's not entirely clear that even good Catholics understand that we are always supposed to be on the attack.

When Our Blessed Lord gave the keys of the kingdom to St. Peter, He said the gates of Hell would not prevail against His Church. May I ask all the sideline Catholics out there — what on earth do you think that means?

Gates are a defensive position. Gates don't attack. They keep invaders out. So when the Incarnate Son of God said that defensive position would not prevail, it quite clearly means it's supposed to be being attacked.

All the cheats and liars are issuing calls for unity and peace now that they appear to have the upper hand.

On the political scene, it was fake-Catholic Joe Biden's primary point in his speech to the nation on Saturday night. Meanwhile, those who do and will control him — like Occasional Cortex as just one example — are saying things like lists need to be created of Trump supporters so they can be shut out of society once the Marxists assume power.

And yes, that's exactly what she said: Keep a database of Trump supporters to ensure they don't get hired later on. She also took to Twitter saying, "Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?"

How can any of them escape damnation?

Last Friday, Church Militant produced a Post-Election Special as part of an ongoing commitment to keep you the most up to date on news and Catholic analysis regarding the election.

Near the wrap-up of that show, we told you not to be surprised if, over the upcoming weekend, the news media would begin declaring the demonic Biden the winner.

Well, sure enough, right on cue, all the major media fell like dominoes — with CNN going first, declaring Biden the next president. They must have thought that felt like sweet revenge against Trump, the bane of their existence.

That prompted the announcement (coordinated with the media) from the Biden camp that the president-elect would address the nation around 9 p.m. on Saturday, which of course he and his anti-Catholic, bigoted running mate (who will no doubt be plotting or at least hoping for Biden to die or resign) did.
