December distortions.

December normally is a month when the Marxist media trots out more important distortions than any other month because they produce zillions of stories about Our Blessed Lord that distort the truth about Him. In short, they distort the Divine.

This year, however, they have ramped up the distortion game — this time against democracy, claiming Biden won, to which you have to say: "Well, if you're willing to lie about Jesus, why wouldn't you lie about Joe?"

In the case of Our Lord, they are lies in the negative, detracting from His divinity. In the case of Joe, they are lies in the positive, claiming he won. He did not.

This past Saturday, as you know, was the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

It was also the occasion for a homily given by His Eminence Cdl. Raymond Burke at the shrine built to her honor in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

In this homily, Cdl. Burke perfectly nailed the current situation in the world — from politics to the exploitation of the Wuhan virus to the attempted theft of the election — and neatly and correctly tied it all back to the communists who rule over China.

So if you want to know how a Catholic bishop is supposed to sound, just listen to Gen. Michael Flynn, who spoke at a Jericho March combined with a Stop the Steal Rally in Washington D.C.'s Freedom Plaza this past Saturday.

As 2020 draws near to its close, one good thing that has happened is the revelation of just how many communist bastards have set up shop in the Church and the government. Many faithful and patriotic Catholics and Americans have gone about their lives for decades almost totally unaware of the evil in their country and their Church.

A few sensed something was not quite right here and there but were content to dismiss most of it as isolated and not connected. A smaller group concluded that this seems to be a lot worse behind the scenes than what it appears on the surface, intuiting (correctly) that it was largely all connected somehow through some nefarious networking.

And then there was the even smaller group which was spot on in understanding that it is, in fact, all connected and related right back to communism — and, yes, in not only the country but also the Church. Count Church Militant in the last group.

Truth: It really is a Hail Mary.

At the time of this recording, the Texas lawsuit, joined by at least 17 state attorneys general, is still very much alive, since the Supreme Court has asked the four states that cheated their rear ends off to present a defense for the charges in the suit.

Now, what's interesting here is how the members of the Marxist media have taken to characterizing this suit. They're calling it a "Hail Mary." While the common usage of the term refers to a long shot at best, the millions of Catholics around the country — indeed, the world — who are praying zillions of Rosaries would also refer to this as a "Hail Mary," but for entirely different reasons.

First off, it is true that this is "the big one," as President Trump classed it the other day. There's no doubt about that — it is. It is so much, in fact, that we named our Post Election Special Wednesday night (where we got into some detail about all this) "Fourth and Goal."

They all taste the same because they are the same.

Each day here at Church Militant, as part of our ongoing Novena to the Holy Spirit for Justice and our Rosary (also for justice in the nation), we pray for increased strength to fight two specific evils rampaging through the Church and the culture — modernism and Marxism.

And, understand, these two are little else than different sides of the same coin, intimately connected. One does its damage in the theological realm, the other in the secular realm, but they are both moving to the same goal. That goal is the de-spiritualization of man, the reducing of human dignity to being merely a servant of the State.

This is why the Church must be "merged" with the State: To present the facade of some spiritual aspect or dynamic to the assault on human dignity (which is, of course, ultimately from God since we are made in his image and likeness). Modernism and Marxism are like M&M's candy — peanut or plain — slightly different looking on the outside, although still very close in appearance, on the inside, they are identical.

Secular people think being under heavy demonic influence looks like something out of a Hollywood movie. You develop a guttural croak, stick out your tongue at inappropriate moments, and even develop a limp that signifies you are not well. Or you’ll do things that are obviously evil, such as punch little children in the face and torture backyard animals. The reality is far more subtle. Demons can be in total control over your life, directing your every move, and you will still be deceived that you’re a “good person” who is in charge. The word demon may not even enter your mind.

You’re under demonic influence if you commit evil deeds yet are unable to recognize them as evil. Usually it starts when you commit minor transgressions as an adolescent, often starting with masturbation. You choose to ignore your conscience telling you that masturbation is wrong because you want to feel good in the moment and follow your own will. Over time, your conscience atrophies as you continue to disobey it, allowing you to commit greater evils as an adult until your conscience becomes so damaged that you are easily able to convince yourself that the evil acts you commit are actually good or virtuous.

An example of a great evil I committed in the past was taking the virginity of a few women. In my defense, I did not have to trick them that I wanted a long-term relationship or marriage, and chances are they used me to begin a promiscuous lifestyle, but that is still no excuse. I was the vehicle that Satan used to remove their bodily purity, something they will never be able to give to another man.

Silence opens the path for evil.

You've heard the old expression (we are fairly sure), "Never talk about religion or politics." In the annals of recorded human history, you'd be hard-pressed to find more ridiculous counsel than that.

First, only weak people ever offer that piece of advice. Passive, conflict-averse, Jell-o–for-spines individuals are the only ones who ever offer that kind of advice. Second, evil-minded people never stop talking about religion and politics. It is their constant hammering on it coupled with the lack of any kind of sufficient response from weak people that has allowed the ball to be moved so far down the field.

The "keep quiet" crowd could really take a page out of the Marxist playbook on this score — seriously. Marxists lie, cheat, steal and do all sorts of other assorted evils, but you need to give the Devil his due: He is relentless.

Time to be more like serpents.

In the continuing revelations being made at the intersection of Church and culture, President Trump said something very plainly Saturday at the Georgia rally in Valdosta — as plain, in fact, as the nose on your face. It's this simple point: Republicans are nice, and as a lady from the crowd reminded him, too nice.

Likewise, in last week's public hearing on election fraud in Michigan, Rudy Giuliani made the exact same point, that good people are too nice and have not realized just how mean bad people really are. Hopefully, it's a message that will resonate with political conservatives and enough Republican leaders before it's too late.

But moving from that point straight into the Faith, there are often major overlaps in how all these affairs play out because we are always dealing with human nature at the end of the day, regardless of the given arena. Too many faithful Catholics are just way too nice. For a variety of reasons, they simply let the evil in the Church (as well as the world) continue. In some weird, overly pietistic view of the second commandment to love your neighbor, they simply forsake all common sense and proper judgment.

As we approach this Christmas season, it's good to turn to the Scriptures (as it always is) for some deeper insight. And, for the record, we mean insight and reflection offered to us by the Church who gave us the Scriptures — not our own personal opinion of what they mean.

In the last 50+ years, there have been loads of various editions published (some obviously much better than others), and around Christmastime, my eyes are always drawn to one particular passage and how modernists mangle it. It's the scene with the heavenly hosts joining the angel in the night sky above Bethlehem, singing "Glory to God in the highest" at the birth of our Lord.

Many editions report it as this: "Peace on earth. Goodwill toward men." That is such a bad mangling and corruption of what is actually sung by the angels that it seems it couldn't be anything but deliberate. What they actually sang was, "And on earth, peace to men of goodwill."
