@redpillschool It's hard to respond to people's posts when you click that bell at the top for alerts. I find myself going back and forth from the alerts page to respond, and losing track of who said what, and if I responded to people. Shouldn't there be a better way about it?

@jpwilk Only delusional people can believe that demotism can work. The common man is ignorant and unintelligent. And even if he weren't, he doesn't have the time to become an expert on political issues or political intrigue. So demotism always ends up either trying to manipulate the people through increasingly oppressive means, or by simply bribing them with "benefits." Long term, the people always get hurt. Badly.

@Zavss But it basically is brah

@redpillschool I see. Then you have to also account for the fact that more people will sign up to get in on the popular topics. That could disrupt the more quiet, 'intimate' atmosphere of this place over the long run.

@sloppyn-1s it's not purely popular it's a mix of new and highly engaged posts. The goal was to get popular stuff on the top and front page for casual onlookers who might be exploring for the first time, or the user who might not have much time to sit and scroll/refresh.

I'm not sold on it either

@deeplydisturbed So in conclusion the way that the social media website works is how things on it change, not the shenanigans or whatever else you listed. For example when @redpillschool switched to sorting by popular rather than by new you have a different dynamic. It will probably encourage more hiveminding rather than diversity of opinions because it keeps the conversations coming back to popular topics, which are static and boring. AKA the constant "how do I score" topics and "women are so crazy" stuff. And less of random rants like that one guy on California

@deeplydisturbed Reddit started heavily censoring in favor of leftish bullshit and furthermore was always going to end up left leaning because of its voting system which always rewards mob mentalities just like what happens in real life when people vote. You're always moving left.

@deeplydisturbed MySpace was just a small version of a website for everybody. Nothing really changed until it got bought out.

@deeplydisturbed FB sucked because they let everyone on and it wasn't just for your college network which you used to be automatically connected. They kept changing the formula and then FB atmosphere changed as well. Nothing new under the sun.
