@moorekom This feels like a "new formula" for food - it's never an improvement. I honestly cannot fathom how this new update will impact our posts, because it shouldn't - we've got several rules for not commenting on OPs, not linking directly to posts, erasing any identifiable trace and whatnot, so we should be on the clear - and yet, leddit decided to throw a hissy fit because it didn't like the post content. Should we suggest the future posters to photoshop a ballsack to a person's chin in any photos posted to avoid doxxing? We could claim it's derivative work.
It also reminds me of the trans-man who wrote the book "self-made man" who committed suicide after realizing how difficult men's lives are.
like @throwaway_old_guy said: that was Norah Vincent, and she wasn't a tranny. She just pretended to be a man for her research. Here's my WATGMA post about her from a bit over a year ago.
And like @woodsmoke said (with a slight correction): her medically assisted suicide was almost 20 years after her book was published (researched 2003-2004 and published 2006, death was 2022). She struggled with depression most of her adult life.
Michael Landon had a series: "Highway to Heaven"
I'm familiar with it. My wife loves it, but it's too hokey for me. I've seen a few episodes I enjoyed, but I'm not really a fan. I don't recall the episode you mentioned.
I was thinking that she's going through an existential crisis similar to that the leftovers go through, except more extreme. Instead of happening over a decade, now it's sudden.
Now this does make for some interesting fodder.
I'm a lot more open to it now, as long as we make it clear that her sudden invisibility is the focus, rather than making fun of her for an unfortunate accident.

Read More@NeoSpartan wait, was this a flair request?
A) flair at WAATGM is earned. Participate with relevant comments and earn some.
B) customized flair is even more earned than regular flair, and usually only goes to endorsed and mods on this platform, because doing it is a pain in the ass. reddit was easier, so we doled it out a lot more there.
C) I'm not putting "1488" into anyone's flair, even ironically. While I can get behind the 14 Words as they are written and standing alone, there is a lot of baggage attached to them and so they never stand alone. I'm all for a positive white identity and preserving our race, but not like how the guy who wrote that went about it. Fuck him, and fuck anyone who views loyalty to the US as betraying one's race.
D) circling back to B - consider yourself fortunate that it is such a pain in the ass. I caused at least one redditor to delete his account because he hated his flair so much.

Read More@Impressive-Cricket-8 pretty much my stance
@Typo-MAGAshiv At this point I'm not even sure I'm replying in the right thread. But anyway.
I like the post a lot - but it really doesn't fit rule #5. She doesn't really complain about how she wants to date someone special and whatnot; she seems to have gaslit herself enough that she now believes that being single is her choice. She does let it slip a few times about how well that's faring, though. Shitpost Saturday would probably be the best fit.
Why frame it in this way?
Because that's what I've seen happen to every other RP or RP-adjacent space or content creator who actually acknowledges women's agency rather than simply blaming everything on weak men. From MRAs to MGTOW to passport bros.
That said, it wasn't my intent to ascribe such a position to you and I apologize if it seemed I was putting words in your mouth.
The point is not ridicule women IMO; It is to highlight bad female behavior in the dating market.
Agreed, provided we're doing so within the context of a woman actively seeking commitment while clearly demonstrating attitudes and/or patterns of behavior that discourage men from committing to her.
Otherwise we run the risk of ridiculing women whose only "crime" is ignorance, which makes us the assholes.
Granted, most of us are assholes and proudly so, but I trust you take my meaning.
I just prefer more room to breathe.
Fair enough. That's what the weekend flairs and the tribe are for, as @moorekom noted. Though I suppose we could make a greater effort to make folks aware of the latter. I suspect most of our forum regulars don't spend much time on this side of the site. Maybe we could edit the sidebar on faggit to include a link to the tribe with an explanation of the easier posting rules?
On the other hand, I'd hate to see this space turn into a flood of low-effort memes and shitposting if we were to throw the gates wide like that.
@Typo-MAGAshiv, @Land_of_the_losers, @Impressive-Cricket-8, @lurkerhasarisen, other mods I'm doubtless forgetting: Thoughts?
Read MoreFucking phone fucked up tagging you @Impressive-Cricket-8
@polishknight the first portion is good weekend content, flaired either "leftovers", "inspin tears", or "single woman tears".
The portion about her daughter is not really within our scope; there's no evidence she was a bad parent (and her cutting her off financially is actually probably the tough love her daughter needs), and more importantly, it has nothing about her "seeking commitment while also complaining about" you know the rest.

@polishknight The second post doesn't conform to our content indeed (though it is equal parts entertaining and sad). As for the first one, I'm torn between Leftovers and Single Woman Tears. While she is no longer whatever she used to be, she is not as direct in her complaining. It's more "I'm awesome and it would be nice if Mr. Right came along" and less "I want Mr. Right, and I know I deserve, Mr. Right, so where is he? Why is he not giving me a chance?".
