If you have never seen

1. Spartacus series from STARZ network, it is well worth watching, although you will see men deferring to women way too often and are big softies when it comes to chasing pussy - yet main plot is killing and gore, also dialogues are strong. Also it is common opinion that first few episodes of S01 Blood and Sand can put you off.

2. Rome - also quite old series, cancelled bc of high costs, very good

3. Black sails - didn't see but people referring above titles, say to give it a shot

STARZ joined with other network in 2014 and since then they have plenty of weird PC content.
