@Positive-Lifeguard80 Ok, fair enough, I can accept that this is not primarily a political change movement. Agreed that the spam is annoying. Good point that losing frame with intruders is a mistake.
@Positive-Lifeguard80 Fair enough, I see your point. Too much idealism.
Do you advocate disconnecting? I am having a harder and harder time seeing any positive route to improving the situation.
My reaction here is based on an effect I've noticed while discussing TRP-related issues with people in real life. There's a strong tendency for people to echo the status-quo when anyone bring up TRP topics for some reason.
E.g: "cuckoldry is morally wrong" Response: Well it's legal, soooo....
"mass media is censored" Response: Well it's a private company, soooo.....
"self-defense should be a legal right" Well it's not, sooo.....
Do you see a pattern here? TRP exists, as far as I can tell, to discuss the difference between how things are, and how they should or could be.
If every discussion on TRP gets nipped in the bud with re-statements of the status quo, what are we really doing here?
@Positive-Lifeguard80 I am trying to say this without appearing to be someone who is here looking for an argument, but: what is your aim with this reply?
My aim with posting this is to clarify how the laws in Canada aren't leading to outcomes that anyone would regard as justice. I fully understand the current status quo.
The main problem is that most Canadians seem to misunderstand the effect of the laws on the population.
Did you really think that I was asking for a clarification of Canadian law?
Just a little update from Canada:
newsroom.calgary.ca/additional-charges-laid-in-the-homicide-of-jesse-george/
-man comes to house selling pitbull puppies -is asked to leave -refuses -occupants of house drag him out -occupants of house pull out a rifle, tell him to leave -he doesn't leave -kicks down door -house-occupant holding rifle shoots intruder -house occupants now charged with manslaughter
???
In Canada, if someone comes to your house and kicks down your door and demands their property, you must comply, otherwise you are the bad man. You especially must comply if it's a native kicking down your door.
It seems to me that phrasing this as an accidental shooting "over puppies" is wildly misleading. Actually, an intruder was shot because the Calgary police service is completely ineffective.

Nevermind, I see that the guy has a pretty good theory about sub surfacing which seems to make sense in part 3.
@carnold03 That's a strange one. To summarize: commanders involved in the incident discarded evidence and suggested mechanical fault, but the results of a diving investigation indicated explosives. It appears to have been covered up, possibly as part of some military operation, not some kind of loose-cannon or terrorist incident.
Any theories?
