@IBelieveInTheFallen Anyone who says they don't lie is a liar. Red flag anyway. Show me, don't tell me. Ime people who proclaim that they are the most virtuous have often turned out to be the least so.
My now deceased ex Wife and I discussed this. I told her that I will NEVER lie to my kids. Even about Santa Claus (or how babies are made). She had a problem with it, and I told her this.
By the time they ask about Santa, or Drugs, or babies, or sex, they already know. Timmy at school heard some crazy shit from his older brother and they are coming to you for confirmation. If you lie to them, they will grow up to think you are a moron who doesn't know what other people seem to ALL know.
I know because MY parents lied about all sorts of shit because "innoncence" or some dumb ass shit.
Never once lied to my kids. Did I blurt shit out about Santa BEFORE they knew? No. Like @redpillschool said, I reserve the right to say nothing until they ask. That's how I handled things, right wrong or otherwise.
