@redpillschool It was always in front of us. With loose mail-in rules in many states, it's easy to send out ballots to everyone and have folks on the ground collecting them, filling them out, and then depositing them in drop-boxes to be counted. Same for folks sitting in counting rooms and scanning/re-scanning ballots.
CNN aptly pointed out that there was no county or township in America (4600 or so) last night where Harris outperformed Biden in 2020 by more than 3 points. She was only outperforming him in 58 counties by any margin.
Trump outperformed Biden 2020 in more than 1,000 counties. With no lazy voting, this shouldn't have been as close as it was.. but the writing was on the wall from Trump early in the evening.
@Vermillion-Rx ..because there is an adult in the room. Even Russia is now open to "reset" with the US.
@Vermillion-Rx this aged well. hahaha
@chadinthemaking69 I concur. Even in groups that aren't politically-motivated, folks are losing their s#it. Each thread I read makes me laugh harder. It's amazing to see delusional, misguided word-vomit in real-time.
@Typo-MAGAshiv the current polls indicate that is neck-and-neck, like the first chart. That's close enough for the powers that screw us over to try the same 2020 nonsense again. I don't believe the margins are (that) tight.
[note sure how to quote] They already controlled him, so it wasn't so much "seizing power" when they cast him aside as it was getting rid of a sure loss in favor of (whom they thought at the time was) someone with a somewhat better chance of beating Trump or at least being believable as the victor when they steal the election again. [/quote]
Unless you're brain dead or woefully ignorant, it's clear that this was Obama's third term. The seizing of power was more about removing him from the drivers seat. It's not that she replaced him in the White House, but they effectively made him a lame duck in the beginning of August. Replacing him with her on the ticket, plus Walz, left him politically impotent. No one is listening to him or his handler, Dr. Jill.
Legally he's still President - which will make things interesting if Trump actually wins - Kamala would have to certify the vote as Vice President.
Read More@Typo-MAGAshiv they reacted too quickly at the chance to seize power when Biden locked up like a computer at the debate in June. Based on campiagn laws if they replaced him with anyone other than Harris they would have to return all of those donations (somewhere around 90MM) and ask again. Anyone who would legitimately try and run would rather wait for 2028 (Whitmer, Newsom, etc.)
I anticipated that they would keep it close by having her stay in the basement the way Biden did and try and take on Trump in the media. Surprisingly her team decided to trot her out in public and she talked her way out of the race. Each appearance seems to be worse than the one before it. Then she found arguably the worst candidate to act as her running mate. Walz is a knucklehead who could never be President or Vice President in a legitimate race.
Trump should win for policy, not personality. If the race is as close as they make it seem (chart A) I am sure they will try and put their thumb on the scale and get her across the finish line. If Trump runs away with it (picture B) it will likely be "too big to cheat". Assuming they don't try to cheat, I expect crybabies and violence leading up to Christmas.
Meanwhile, the rats will be breaking cell phones and shredding documents as they flee. Biden will be propped up on drugs to keep him awake while he signs pardons for him and his family. Iran and Ukraine are cooked and may try and go after Trump again. Even with a Trump win it's going to be a rocky 18 months into 2026.
Read More@redpillschool I get it - no matter what the reason, if it happens more than once, it's time to move. I have a data center I use in NJ that is really popular that is on it's last strike after a cable cut during a building project next door.
@EmpireCrimson The spot we were in was a bunker and it had resources to withstand multiple week power outages. But I've had access cut more than once during hurricanes thanks to the upstream providers getting knocked out.
@carnold03 they have a barrier installed around the facility that can handle storm surges of up to 15 feet. It survived Helene without any issue or disruption and will meet its match with Milton.
As for moving your website, did you know where (as in which datacenter) it was hosted? Most DCs are bunkers that are designed for occurrences just like Milton. I've been in nearly a dozen of them and they're all built with multiple generators, fuel storage on-site, separate points of entry for data circuits, sleeping quarters for the NOC team, tons of supplies - as a group of buildings, they're one of the few places I'm not worried about in Florida (or anywhere else).
