Hey everybody; how have you been? I just passed my last board exam a couple of weeks ago; I AM GOING TO BE A SURGEON! Anyway; is there any book on how to be a man? I read Trump's Art of the Deal; but I need something that teaches the minutiae on when to be aggressive with companies, when to make amends with people, and so forth.....

+ I mean don't take me for a bitch; but I feel I have been taught ever since growing up that I must be a pushover; allow other people to step on my wishes; now I believe that's liberal indoctrination; but I want to know the opposite.... My dad was a mixed-bag; I mean I am grateful to him for raising me up; but I need a more complex, manly, illiberal thinking manual

Congratulations, I wish you all the best going forward. If during your time in building yourself into the physician you are, you found good people to mentor you along the way, do what you can to keep in touch with those people. They'll be invaluable people to take your professional questions to as finding new ones in the years ahead will become difficult as you get older.

The following link should direct you to a selection of books I've recommended in the past that provide guys the best well-informed starting points going forward as possible. While you're free to select whichever ones suit your fancy, I think Iceberg Slim's "Pimp: story of my life" is in there and you can't really get much more illiberal than a pimping psychopath. The late George Thompsons "Verbal Judo", may have more practical applications for you as far as developing functional communication competence and awareness. "The Evolutionary Psychology Behind Politics: How Conservatism and Liberalism Evolved Within Humans" and "Smart and SeXy: The Evolutionary Origins and Biological Underpinnings of Cognitive Differences between the Sexes" will provide you with insight into understanding the psychology and driving motivations of those you deal with. And lastly, "The System: The Dating Dictionary" is a solid foundation a guy can branch out from in RP aware circles.
