@Boosted_Arrow ...huh. It does seem to be lacking in the forums. I hadn't noticed 'cause I run a browser extension that gives me the option to turn on dark mode pretty much everywhere.

Good catch. @redpillschool, is there something could be done about that? Is it already on the list?

We are aware performance is very slow right now. DB Maintenance is pushing our server to the limits right now. Should be resolved soon.

Dev News 4/13/22:

  • Updated timeout on posting statuses. Still takes some time as there's a lot of logic but doesn't time out and error
  • Updating conversation loading / changed indexing of parents / children for quicker recall
  • Changed how conversations handle archived parents for speed
  • Added memory to both REDIS/NGINX as well as the DB server
  • Added Image uploads to forums.red. You can upload or copy+paste when making new post.
  • Inbox pageload improved. User blocks / banlists were slowing down chat lists. Optimized queries behind this page.
  • Added online indexing to speed up online user list in mailbox

@redpillschool I'll BOLO for the symptom. Not sure exactly how I would provoke it except a long time between typing and posting.
