The purpose of this tribe is as follows:

• To provide us members with a foundational knowledge of thought provoking works from across the philosophical history of our world.

• To encourage participation and contribution to the group.

• To better understand our own minds and the minds of those around us.

• To push us into similar yet more advanced groups once we have developed our knowledge.

Why 'The Neoterics'?

Quite simply, I envision a group of fresh minds who are eager to explore and dissect new territories. I expect each member to provide fresh ideas, exciting developments and unique perspectives. Our approach will be new and determined.

Course 1

Sign ups will be open prior to beginning

Course 1 will cover Friedrich Nietzche's 'Beyond Good and Evil'

We will cover this book week by week. Discussion will focus around the concepts presented by Nietzche and we will make a concerted effort to present our understanding to the group so that we might help each other. Timetable TBA.

Course 2

Sign ups once again open for new members

Course 2 will cover Friedrich Nietzche's 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra'

Similar to Course 1, but having moved our understanding forward from the previous course we will be expected to further our understanding of any new or repeated concepts we uncover.

Future Courses TBA but will explore Ancient, Classical and Modern era philosophers, theologians and thinkers.
