Does anyone read religious texts or watches dharma talks? I'm wondering what fits redpill in terms of practices and philosophy.
@no_name_user_me samatha to train the mind, vipasana to become an observer. The mind illuminated stage 1 teaches you the most basic which is counting breaths.
Beyond that depends on your goals and past exprience.
@hustlerbear81 will check it out. I am also wandering if it is necessary to level them? Everybody is doing vipasana which seems to be the most advanced, does it matter in meditation? Should someone start from a less advanced one?
@no_name_user_me i suggest you look at this book, The Mind Illuminated: A Complete Meditation Guide Integrating Buddhist Wisdom and Brain Science for Greater Mindfulness, this has different levels of mediation going from Beginner to Expert.
does anybody know how to level the meditation types? I think there are different types(with different difficulty levels) and if I can level them I can be more mindful during meditation.
