My buddy can't make out loud comments like "ooohhhhhhhh, its nice to hug someone thin for a change" in front of his wife when he hugs my wife.

I wouldn't do it because it would be disrespectful to you and your wife [she was also disrespecting both of you btw], and pose as verbal interest. Not good in any way.

But as long as you are not obese I would hug you [again], and say 'you smell nice" step back, scan your body "and attractive looking, I have a new carpet in a bedroom, wanna see?" and then actually bounce for some time.

Word by word would be too direct to do in front of the people by my standards. But leaving it at this... not good.

Above assumes it was kinda one off, but most likely wasn't.
