Climate change is more deadly than abortion?

One of the most disturbing appointments to the College of Cardinals Pope Francis has made, among many, is the elevation of Robert McElroy of San Diego. Among the many horrible, virtually un-Catholic positions the recent cardinal has enunciated is one that has to do with the preposterous position that climate change is so bad that it actually claims more lives around the world each year than abortion.

For the record, according to the Guttmacher Institute, there are 73 million abortions worldwide every year. So where Cdl. McElroy is getting his number that more than 73 million people die every year from changes in the weather is a little dumbfounding — likely because it's not true.

McElroy is notorious for skirting Church teaching in the area of sexual morality and has deemed it a worthy cause to promote "social justice" as more important than individual justice and charity.

Among his chief bothers is the constant change in the atmosphere that most normal people simply call "the weather." For the bad cardinal, changing weather must be stopped and prevented in the future at all costs.

He, like Pope Francis, goes on to ascribe these atmospheric changes not to the normal course of the world's changing environment, but specifically to man, especially America. Mean old bad nasty America.

He completely disregards hard scientific facts like increased volcanic activity on the ocean floor causing rising sea temps. For him, solar flares are nowhere near as much of a threat as driving your nonelectric vehicle is. But hey, don't confuse the cardinal with actual science. That's because the actual science simply explodes his world of substitute morality, where man and the earth are elevated over God, where the two greatest commandments are switched.

When that happens, the door is open to all sorts of shenanigans. And McElroy is one of the leading proponents of all this.

In truth, he and his kind hate the Church, and they hate America, at least as we have traditionally understood the nation, because, with all its many flaws, a free America at least gives the opportunity for the Faith to thrive. In a communist state, or one approaching it, the Faith is much more easily suffocated.

Climate Change, the Vatican and the Communist party.

Like a taste of some international intrigue and how the phony science engendering environmental alarmism is at the heart of it? OK, then sit back and follow the bouncing ball. We're going to bring together some seemingly unrelated points in this Vortex.

But the big picture is that China is a communist nation and wants control of the planet. Let's start there. Easy enough. Its major opposition, of course, is the United States, which must be weakened and neutralized. Again, easy enough. So let's look at how it is going about this, and for that, we will turn our attention first to Europe.

In order for China to gain entry to the halls of power in European capitals, it needs "access." This is where Italy comes in. For the past decade or so, China has poured thousands of Chinese nationals into the Italian nation, predominantly in a multitude of industries in northern Italy. That little tidbit came out at the beginning of the pandemic as people were asking why Italy was hit so hard by the virus.

China's two-pronged plan — global domination by influencing European politics and weakening America — is detailed quite extensively in a recent book entitled Red Contagion: How Italy Has Become China's Trojan Horse in the West. The author is Francesco Galietti, a highly respected and much sought-after business consultant who founded Policy Sonar, an outfit that tracks, among other things, massive movements of money around the globe through multiple hedge funds.

In his book, he details how China targeted Italy as the "soft underbelly" path into European politics, specifically because of the heavy involvement of the Vatican in Italian politics. For the Chinese, it would be the Vatican that would prove to be the access point to Italy — and from there, the rest of Europe.

With Protestant artillery.

In 2017, when the Vatican secretary of state endorsed and approved an article being published in a well-read journal attacking Church Militant for somehow aligning with evangelicals to establish a theocracy in America, it was total garbage. However, we must give a tip of the hat to the Marxists in Rome, namely, Fr. Anthony Spadaro, who wrote the laughable hit piece entitled "Evangelical Fundamentalism and Catholic Integralism: A Surprising Ecumenism," in which he labeled the alleged cooperation between Church Militant (yes, called us out by name) and evangelicals "an ecumenism of hate."

Well, at the time, no such cooperation existed — certainly not in any formal way. So we did wonder, what the heck is he talking about? But back to that tip of the hat. That and proceeding events in the culture made us look in the mirror and ask, "Why aren't we working with these folks who are (1) certainly more patriotic than the average Catholic, and (2) more Catholic than the average Catholic, including many clerics and hierarchs?"

Spadaro's stupid assessment actually provided us a blueprint to begin moving down the road and linking arms, where possible, with like-minded U.S. patriots of goodwill.

So, back then, we didn't have our official "ecumenism of hate"; but now we do — an "ecumenism of hate" toward the destruction of America by domestic enemies (namely the Religious Left, including some U.S. bishops and their Saul Alinsky–inspired, perverse "social justice" narrative.

The same man that trained none other than Barack Obama as a "community organizer" even paid for him with Catholic money in Chicago, a point he did not fail to raise during that scandalous speech at Notre Dame's commencement in May 2009. Ever since Saul Alinsky penetrated the Church through his labor union dealings in Chicago, stupid and ignorant (not to mention malevolent) bishops have adopted his false narrative.

In 1940, Alinsky partnered with Catholic bishop Bernard James Sheil, The Chicago Sun Times and department store owner Marshall Field, to found the Industrial Areas Foundation, a national community-organizing network. Notice that partnership: media, corporate America and religion! From then, it was off to the races.

Catholic bishops' dirty money is funding Biden's border invasion.

As Church Militant continues hammering on the U.S. bishops' full-throated support for policies that undermine both the republic and the Church, word is really starting to get out. Last week in D.C., we had private discussions with various people on Capitol Hill about not just the illegal immigration issue the bishops are completely down with, but also their support for the economically unsound agenda of rabid environmentalism which is chock-full of phony science and economic destruction for the nation.

The claim that man changes the weather is totally unfounded scientifically, but with the Marxist control of every major institution, it is virtually accepted as scientific fact. It is not. On Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Baltimore, Church Militant, along with our other partners in the Deposit of Faith Coalition, will be holding another press conference like we did in D.C. in July. This time, the topic is on challenging the phony claims about the environment.

Our last press event on illegal immigration garnered more than 25 million impressions from politically conservative media outlets who attended and reported the story, and then others who later picked up the story (including The Epoch Times, Media Research Center and PJ Media). Steve Bannon as well as Info Wars were also happy to talk about the effort of the coalition in advance.

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) blows the lid off massive migrant scandal.

I'm Michael Voris coming to you from Washington, D.C., where the U.S. bishops will very likely soon be experiencing a type of demand for accountability normally reserved to the Holy See.

The issue is the bishops' communist-minded social justice agency, Catholic Charities, and its drawing down of billions in U.S. tax dollars to help undermine southern-border security and, of course, by extension, the entire republic.

During Biden's nearly three years in the White House, somewhere between 5 to 7 million — 5 to 7 million — illegal immigrants have swarmed across the border, and they've been assisted every step of the way by Catholic Charities.

What you're seeing is exclusive Church Militant video of that very thing, with Catholic Charities organizing all of it. The U .S. bishops' agency pretends their work is somehow about Church teaching and following the gospel mandate, but that's just not true. It's merely the cover story for refilling their coffers with billions in taxpayer money they lost in child sex abuse payouts.

Add to that how Catholic Charities has been and continues to be led by extremely liberal so-called Catholics who have no love for the republic or the Church and you have a perfect storm. But now various members of Congress want Catholic Charities and other operations to get up here on Capitol Hill, under oath, and answer some very pointed questions.

Rep. Lance Gooden calls out immigration cash cow.

I'm Michael Voris coming to you from the nation's Capitol, where the Catholic bishops' social justice arm — Catholic Charities — is about to come under intense congressional scrutiny.

For a number of years now, as longtime followers will attest to, Church Militant has been chasing down the story of the U.S. bishops' Catholic Charities' undermining of national security by its role in the illegal immigration crisis — up to and including child sex trafficking.

Two years ago, Church Militant went to the Texas–Mexico border and spoke directly with U.S. patriots who pointed the finger squarely at the U.S. bishops as one of the largest provocateurs in this fiasco — owing to the billions the bishops get from D.C. to supposedly help with humanitarian relief.

Well, that information has finally reached the halls of Congress where quite a few members are now demanding answers and an accounting from Catholic Charities on what exactly is going on with the billions they get in taxpayer dollars.

So Church Militant has come directly to D.C. to sit down with various members and see what their inquiry is all about and what questions they want answered by the bishops and their appointees.

One of the sharpest critics of all this is Texas congressman Lance Gooden, who is fed up with the open-borders policy of the Biden administration, the Democrats and their allies on the religious left — most especially Catholic Charities.

Are the US bishops inadvertently responsible for this?

Now, as we've covered repeatedly in multiple Vortex episodes, the communist path to power in Western democracies has been and is being accomplished through elections, which does contain within itself its own irony, since the goal of communism ultimately is to seize complete and total power and destroy fair elections in the process. But there is a backstage game going on, a clever disguise whereby first institutions were overrun, so minds could be controlled through propaganda, so they would vote for policies which made sense to the brainwashed.

Once a sufficient number of voters are compiled over a few decades — again, convinced by the propaganda that the Left loves and cares for them — the scales would tip, the Left would win majorities and then nothing would be left to stand in their way. That's happening right now, as we sit here.

The propaganda machine, in high gear on college campuses and mainstream media networks throughout the nation for decades, has been inculcating in people's minds a slew of false flags so they can create a narrative that death and destruction will shortly follow if their agenda is not implemented immediately.

Of course, the not-so-underlying theme is they must be elected to save the immigrant, save the poor, save the earth, and a host of others causes in which they cast themselves as noble "savior." When it comes to saving the immigrant in particular, things are beginning to reveal themselves which upend their narrative about the southern border. And the challenge to their propaganda is not coming from the Republican establishment but from what you could style "new breed" Republicans, beholden much more to principles than party it seems.

One of the first things on the agenda for multiple members of Congress once business resumes is grilling Catholic Charities and the bishops over this whole illegal immigration industry they have going on. And with the wild success of the box office blockbuster Sound of Freedom, you can bet that child sex-trafficking will also be on the docket. And as we all know, when it comes to child sex abuse, that is a topic the bishops do not want to have come up again.

The whole "save the immigrants" narrative of the Democrats is beginning to unravel, and when it does, the bishops are going to once again be found to be de facto on the side of the Left, undermining the republic, not to mention cashing in on the backs of children.

It's now becoming a question of survival.

I'm Michael Voris, coming to you from onboard our fall Retreat at Sea as we steam back toward New York.

The experience of Catholics in America, which has been the theme of this retreat, the history of the Church here, went from bad to good and then back to its present-day bad.

And, in truth, the present day (as we have said before) is nothing less than a total dumpster fire. For example, the bishop statistics group just last week published its findings that the number of Catholics who attend Mass each Sunday has plummeted even further, down now to just 17%.

There's not really a need to go through all the depressing (yet revealing) stats other than to say no conclusion can be drawn other than the Church in the United States is headed for extinction.

A number of sociological data points also point to impending shipwreck. For example, Gallup published its poll last week and it was immediately seized upon by atheists like the Freedom From Religion Foundation as proof of their success.

It revealed for the first time since Gallup has asked the question that a majority of Americans no longer identify as simply "religious" — 51%, in fact. And as you might already have surmised, the future outlook is even more bleak, as large numbers of young people skew the poll even further.

And as a population trends more and more atheist, or at the very least "religiously indifferent," the politics will be sure to follow. Politics is always downstream of culture. Leaders rarely actually lead. They follow what their constituents want so they can hold on to their own power.

Do not follow rogue and disobedient clerics.

Is Jorge Bergoglio actually the pope? No, of course not, we're told. He's a "heretic." He's a "false prophet." He's even the "anti-Christ." Take your pick — but whatever of those he is, he is absolutely "not the pope."

Those are the mad ramblings of various Catholics, laity and clergy alike, who have succumbed to the temporary applause of Catholics looking for a quick answer to a centuries-old problem. And that's just the public dynamic.

There are quite a few other Catholic internet figures who run websites and "news" organizations who do believe all that — privately — and use their public influence to promote those ideas through their platforms, but don't have the courage to come right out and say it because they are afraid it will impact business. They make the bombs and let others throw them. Cowards.

Frankly, in some ways, they're even worse than the public big mouths, because they can do even more damage than the bomb throwers, which is the point of their sneakiness.

But for the moment, let's talk about the bomb throwers and their position that Jorge Bergoglio is not the pope. This "he is not the pope" argument is specious because of all the other much bigger problems that arise.

If he isn't, then who is? If there isn't a pope right now, then we are all sedevacantists, which opens up a whole other can of worms. Remember, there are "Catholic" nut jobs who say Benedict was not the pope, nor John Paul, nor Paul VI. So why not say that with Francis?

If he isn't now, was he ever? Or did he just stop being pope sometime after the conclave? Even the self-anointed defenders of the faith crowd can't agree on that.

If the conclave was invalid, why haven't any cardinals (Burke, Müller) who were in the conclave said it was invalid? Are they stupid and were duped, or weak, or cowards, or complicit — or are they actually cleverly disguised front men for Freemasonry posing as conservatives just to arrive at this point in time and help usher in the anti-church with its false prophet anti-pope?
