Folks, say whatever you wish. But please PLEASE promise me one thing:

If you hear voices in your head telling you to kill children, PLEASE do not take that as some celestial test of faith. This is NOT God, it is NOT Satan, and it is NOT the Holy Spirit. It is a mental illness and you should seek immediate help.

Please tell me you understand this without quoting scripture. I am trying to talk to the human being inside you.

Abraham did not have the knowledge we now have. We know better now.

Mental illness is moral illness and healthcare professionals are typically employed to work against a patient/clients best interests, because keeping them sick maintains the organizations revenue streams.

Your interpretation of Abraham's intervention intervention when it came to killing Isaac is different from mine.

I truly saw him as just having a change of heart invoked by the most high I don't believe he was demonically possessed.

As far as me 1st I already stated what I believe I don't know how much further I can go.

When I said, "you first", I meant what are your thoughts on the significance of Mark 11. You're clearly interested in the worldly physical aspects of the passages in the Holy Bible. I tend to scrutinize the supernatural, so your perspective is appreciated as well.

As for Genesis 22, reading the Holy Bible in Latin and having dealt with many psychotics, I'm compelled to defer to the Holy Bible's claim that God sent an Angel to stop Abraham, and a Ram was provided so as to ensure Issac was thus spared a grim fate at his troubled fathers hands, but otherwise I don't believe God ever spoke to him. Whether others believe this to be the case is generally of little concern to me beyond scrutinizing how well informed by their teachers they were.

You responded EXACTLY as I predicted you would. That's not bad. You have your faith - hold onto it. Without faith some people would resort to hate, bigotry, rape, murder etc. So please do not listen to me. I am an atheist (technically speaking, although I hate the label), but I am Pro-Religion.

Keep up the good work. I try to avoid triggering people like you as best I can. But you put it out there so much that I am just too tempted to point out the evil foundations once in a blue moon. IN this case, the infanticidal and apparently schizophrenic founder of these three religions.

It should be no surprise to a casual reader that religions based on such a man, openly advocate for rape, slavery, and genital mutilation. With glee.

If you say so. It seemed more like you expected me to attack you for not seeing Abraham as some paragon of piety or something.

I'd never read Genesis 22 to scrutinize it though. It's pretty straight forward to me that Abraham came under demonic influence to be tempted to kill his son. While we'd probably classify him as mentally ill today, something occurred to prevent Abraham from murdering Issac, and I don't think it was simply stumbling across a stray Ram at the right time. Not unless the Winged Hussars were riding through the near east several thousand years ago.

What makes you think there's such thing as supernatural circumstances or divine interventions?

Every circumstance I believed to Have been God intervening was actually a form of human circumstance conspiring in my favor.

You first.
