I spent (wasted?) years trying to cut back. Tried all sorts.
In the end, I took the easy way out. The easy way out is no booze. The hard way is trying to control it.
It's surprising that more people can't see this, and struggle on with the trying to cut down method for years.
Think about it this way: the people that don't smoke. Do you think its hard for them to 'control their nicotine consumption?'. Do you think they have a hard time getting through the day, going to social occasions, stressful occasions etc, without a smoke?
No of course not. They don't even think about it. Because they are non smokers.
That is the easy way. Become a non-drinker, and you never even think about booze. It becomes easy because it is easy.
