Yes. This. I only-self refer as alpha to distinguish me from folks who are not like me, who we typically refer to as beta. It generally only comes up when I am talking to other men about the difference between the two, usually because they're not familiar with the terms but have observed the behavioral differences. A lot of older men who are alphas grew up in a time where the term wasn't used at all (and there are a lot of 65+ alphas in my circle of contacts/associates).

Call the gym and ask to speak to him (or her) and if they're not around, leave a voicemail asking them to call you - don't explain yourself - just explain that you're a member and you'd like them to return the call.
When they return your call, explain what happened, and explain how your behavior doesn't violate OHA rules, and then follow up with how it costs them money since folks won't buy food if they can't eat it there and it's not clear that it's take-out food. Then wait for their answer. If it's an acceptable answer, thank them for responding to you. If it isn't, ask them to consider changing their policy. If they can't or won't accommodate people eating, politely explain that it's been fun but this policy is screwing up your fitness goals and you'll have to cancel your membership and take your business to a gym that takes fitness and COVID seriously. Then hang up the phone.
You can write them a letter explaining that you want to cancel for the reasons you mentioned in your call, and request any refund that you're due.

I've been busy with my family and work all summer, and so I'm just dropping by to remind you all of the importance of maintaining frame. A mild disagreement at bedtime resulted in her leaving and sleeping with one of the kids. Instead of being butt-hurt and resolving the issue, I went to bed, and woke up this morning as though it wasn't an issue. She stopped by at my (home) desk after I poured some coffee to apologize and explain her behavior. When I first started down the path of RP it took everything in me to hold the line and not confront her last night. Now, it's like dealing with my kids.
