Because presenting an image of a man that's not looking his best plays on weak minded peoples fears of marriage. The ones in this article are more consistent and they look as I'd expect short stocky mid-western farm folk to look. They're probably of Swiss, Northern Italian, or southern German descent. Though, Cassidy Kraus has one of the clearest cases of man-jaw I've ever seen a woman under 5'9" to have.
