@reiched_up As for the EU, the EU is beyond fucked. They are already bankrupt and attempting to selectively default to save the union but once a recession hits they are up shit creak without a paddle, as they can barely hold on in good times. As for regular parties, they are slowly being replaced look to Germany and see the AFD that's currently growing at a steady rate and will no doubt replace the right's Old Guard and dethrone Merkal. It's really only a matter of time and a recession is bound to be the when.

As for the Britian we have the Brexit Party that had a colossal land slide, a party made a couple weeks before the election destroyed both the torries and the left, although the votes are pretty much symbolical. If I were them this is a very bad sign for the future. Now they are in a losing fight to stop Brexit and once it happens and Trump stabilizes it with a trade deal leaving the eu will look attractive and the left and the Old Guard right supporting staying will look awful.

If you want to pay thought to the EU I would argue we need to focus on how to salvage the content after the EU an Left is purged as I am no indentation but throwing a bunch of people that don't get along close quarters is bound to spell problems in the future. That and the Europe will be decimated by the recession and will pretty much have to start over again and this will create room for authoritarians so we are going to have to be careful.

As for the long future the Left doesn't have a future and they know it and we really only need to wait until this whole clown car is thrown off the rails and destroyed and fix this fucking mess.

@reiched_up The current Left Vs. Right is absolutely a false dichotomy, that's why the rise of Populism throughout the world is such a beautiful sight. As the the corrupt Old Guard of the right is slowly perishing and being replaced by populists. As for controlled opposition, Trump was never meant to win in 2016 and their attempts to control him there after wards have failed, as for the alt right there no doubt frauds but the Old Guard isn't being replaced by them. The Alt Right is pretty much a failed propaganda piece that was meant to fuel the far left that never grew as Trump's base the populists took all the gains and they sure as hell are not alt right. Want an example of them check r/The_Donald they are pretty sane and will easily be able to replace the Democrats in the future as they grow and the Democrats Coalition breaks apart.

The Left is best understood through The United States of America and the European Union.

The left's coalition inside the Democratic Party in the USA will collapse after their loss in American 2020 Election, as winning the election is the only thing keeping the Old Guard and The Progressives together as they both hate each other and want to destroy/control the other.

European Union's left should collapse in the next recession that I am confident will occur between 2020 - 2022. As the only thing keeping them in power is Europeans Economy is still functioning. Once economy falls off the tracks the hatred of the Old Guard will make the Brexit and Anti EU stuff from before look like childs play and they and the EU at large should spinster into perpetual irrelevancy for this era.

After the collapse of the American Left and the EU world wide the advance to the right should gain more steam and the left will either be forced to reform or cease to be for decades.

@destraht It's easier to make believable propaganda if you have an environment that it your propaganda feels natural in. For example r/The_Donald was quarantined on the bases of "Anti Police Sentiment" and anyone who spend some time there knows how much of a joke that is, given the amount of respect for law enforcement found there.

If we allow users that hold ideologies and belief systems such as "Nazism, Fascism, White Supremacy, and ect" I mean so literttly and not as SJW who classify everything they disagree with as such, we will being making their propaganda attempts much easier. As much as I hate limited freedom of speech and personally feel that their should be no limit on freedom of speech minus freedom of speech that violets laws (threats). the most ideal choice here is the pragmatic one where we limit that content. As we will really regret allowing such content on the service in the future.
