@TwoInchesOfShaft

Ah, you're talking about the historical part ... that I have to admit, my knowledge of Ruric's reign and subsequent events is very limited (time to deep dive).

That being said, the backdrop of Ukrainian artificial nationalism, the fact that they collaborated with the nazis (Bandera movement etc.) and how things played out subsequently in the prelude to the SMO and over the course of the SMO is factual and I have been commenting on it over the months on this platform as well.

@Lionsmane8 How about Poland was cooperating with the Nazi but was not giving Hitler German land back and so he invaded instead of the actual truth which is that the USSR cooperated with Germany and divided up Poland and actually approved of the war. He constantly tried to portray the USSR and Russia as benevolent actors when the truth is that they acted malevolent for decades.

@TwoInchesOfShaft Read again carefully the way I worded what I said. I've been following the Ukraine situation from a variety of sources accounting for the biases of each. Putin's statements appeared internally consistent and mapped to my provisional understanding far better than what's been offered by American/Western politicians, partisans, and MSM. The truth value of much of it awaits more information or developments over time.

I'm not fond of the type of political discourse that amounts to you either dislike X as much or more than me, or you're completely victim of/fooled by/dickriding X; no other possible position.

God, some of you guys are so off the spectrum that even if Jesus himself was moonwalking on your face you'll still find a way to defend your faulty paradigm through the most convuluted mental gymnastics.

It’s not difficult to prove many of his assertions wrong.

Then do it..

I've been following the conflict since day one and everything he said was factual.

@coolsocks00 Same here. The fanboydom surrounding Putin is just so retarded. His tactics are working for the retards.

I liked that Tucker pressured him on most questions and then let Putin show his true colors which he did, so I’ll cut Tucker some slack. I watched the interview with an open mind but Putin made himself look really bad at times and in the end, the characterization he often gets was not far off from what I’ve seen today.

@SeasonedRP I see this perspective a lot, I see the counter perspective offered a lot as well. I believe the fall of the USSR and what happened in the years afterwards is the crux of the matter. I’d love to have insight into the secured documents from the involved nations and find out what the logic of each party was and who tells the truth about this time. It’s a truly difficult situation to judge.

@Lionsmane8 Putin is the dictator of a huge country with only 150.000.000 people. He is not the main character of anything, he’s a sideshow. Biden is not a villain, the guy doesn’t even know that he’s president. Your anti west stance leaves out the fact that you are able to type here because of the west. There’s avenues where the west currently has really really bad and destructive ideas (gender ideology and equity being two of those) but it is still leaps ahead of any middle eastern, african, asian or south american region or nation when it comes to actually everything. I’d love to see a country out of any of the regions actually make progress, not only economically but spiritually, have a second enlightenment and learn from the west’s mistakes to only take away the good parts. I don’t see it happening.

@Lionsmane8 Putin masterfully put his propaganda out there even though Tucker did a good job. Putin was a KGB agent and acted like one. It’s not difficult to prove many of his assertions wrong. You dickriding Putin and believing him wholesale is the confirmation bias you live on. Your whole world view is made up of confirmation bias at this point and you display it in every post.

@Mentorpheus Great that you believe it as well, shows how even you that holds his supposed intellectual prowess very dear falls victim to his biases. I hope you know and saw on how many counts Putin was factually wrong or logically inconsistent. His answers were rife with propaganda. Though he definitely is a formidable politician and I understand why people here find him to be more likeable on a personal level than the spineless beta males we got in the west (besides Trump obviously).

@TwoInchesOfShaft

The correct frame is Putin is the Main Character and Joe Biden is a genocidal villain puppet with dementia.
