I intend no disrespect in saying this, but you come across as really weird.

No matter the topic, you always say things like "Tell me more about that" or "What is your take on this..."

Reddit got infiltrated by people who say exactly the same things as you do.

Are you Jewish? Just asking for science.

Pauses for a moment as he takes a break from his breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, and freshly baked banana nut muffins to calmly sip his tea as he looks at you oddly

Your grasp of science is lacking in ways that boggle the mind, yet are typically American. Don't ever change. Though, if I'm Jewish, then I suppose I should change my breakfast to lox and bagels instead of the bacon, scrambled eggs and banana nut muffins. The problem is that our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, knows I have an addiction to the bacon which cannot be denied! The swine may not be kosher, or halal, but he's so damned delicious!

Thanks for that, really. With what I've got planned for myself, that I'm starting the week with such a good laugh bodes well in my mind.

You know, one thing I'm seeing universally is that almost all parenting resources and forums say spanking is bad / wrong / doesn't work. They all talk about the timeouts or stern talkings they do to fix their children's behavioral problems.

I have to wonder what kind of pansy ass pushover these parents are, since given I know how children operate I can say confidently that a "stern talking" doesn't always work, nor does it work when they decide to push boundaries.

What are your thoughts on spanking?

I'll keep my thoughts on corporal punishment to myself for now. I'm more curious about these parenting websites and forums you mentioned. Share a few links so we can all see what parenting advice these sites are doling out.

I'm curious what these sites are advocating nowadays that you think is bad, wrong, or doesn't work. It's entirely possible that the parenting resources and forums you've come across are intended to be ineffective, so as to ensure parents are kept misinformed regarding effective parentage.

I didn't read the whole thread, but I'll weigh in on this question.

Spanking is a double edged sword. It can be amazingly good or amazingly terrible.

It depends on the love, kindness and generosity of the parents.

If the parents are loving, kind and generous - and the spanking is short, swift, only when truly deserved, not out of frustration, yes out of self control and composure - spanking will produce wonderful children who will love their parents.

Yes. I was spanked in this way as a child.

If the parents spank out of hatred, frustration, anger, feeling overwhelmed etc. If they don't counterbalance the spanking with an abundance of love - the spanking is just child abuse.

Problem today is, that the long arm of the government reaches into your home and you no longer have the choice to discern or decide on these matters. All spanking will get you in trouble. As will things that are much more mild than spanking.

Yup. Even if she's from the few who can truly be trusted, it isn't worth it to rely on her ability to be consistent. Because...

#Consistency is a tool of the patriarchy!!!

If her tubes are tied or she has an IUD, sure. Because she doesn't have to do anything about her bc. But if you have to rely on her to consistently do a thing - like taking a pill that's set up for dummies - you just can't rely on her for that.

To add: men are actually very easy to please. Most men.

Men want to shower their wives with love and everything the world has to offer. Just speak to a brand new husband in the first year or three and you'll see it.

But even to please a simple man is too hard for almost all modern women. Pathetic.

Yeah...

All women are like that. Truly.

Women were always like that. It's just that in the past, male responsibility came with male authority. That limited the amount of this shit, that women were allowed to express.

Today, every forum of male authority, is seen as abusive... that's why marriage is fucked and deserves to go extinct.
