@slutmagazine Oh and double-check the plugs on the picture if you order an N64 gamepad. Half the listings are plugs for an actual N64, you need a gamepad with a USB plug for laptop or PC. I have never seen an N64-shaped gamepad with bluetooth so you are highly unlikely to get it to work with smaller devices unless you get an adapter that can convert a type-A to type-C usb plug. Often enough with electronics those adapters technically work but software bugs out from it, so you are playing the lottery hoping to get it to work. Which again, the Amazon returns policy. Very handy so you don't regret a purchase.

@slutmagazine Yes, I like 007 Goldeneye and 007 The World is Not Enough, both don't play right on anything other than an N64-shaped controller. Sadly t's all unknown odd named brands like Higan, iNNEXT, suily, etc. so I just order on Amazon Prime and hope I don't need to use the 30-day return policy.
People can say what they want about Amazon, my first Miyoo Mini came with a dead screen pixel in a bad spot. I had the 2nd one 2 days later, free return for any reason. Ditto for a BluRay I bought that appeared to have been opened before. I get shit products often enough, Amazon cuts your risk of waiting for support from a Chinese website that doesn't have to respond to you ever.

@slutmagazine The miyoo probably not. N64 too hard for that device IMO anyway, the PS1 is it's limit. Find a device that can use bluetooth controls or has a regular USB plug. They do make USB gamepads that have same buttons and shape as the old N64 controllers which is IMO the only real way to play an N64 game since everything else is a terrible coping attempt that doesn't match the feel.
I would honestly suggest a laptop that can emulate N64 smoothly with one of those said gamepads.

@TiberiusBravo87 Would Nintendo 64 controls work on these kinds of gizmos?

@redpillschool Another twist in my handheld shopping conundrum, my wish for a more comfortable Miyoo Mini is coming true. Even if it has the exact same internals I would be stoked for this thing since it's change of shape would allow adult hands to properly use all the buttons at once:

@redpillschool The RG353P came along lately and honestly........that's very tempting with it's ergonomics and the RK3566 chipset which is an upgrade over the prior RK3326, it can play N64 fine and the hardest Dreamcast games with some framerate dip. Also plays DS games fine with touchscreen, that means my beloved Kirby SuperStar Ultra can run on it.
The Miyoo Mini V2 was only $80 but it taught me that ergonomics are very important to me, I just can't play Contra 3 or the Megaman X games on the Miyoo Mini. The RG353P also has a touch screen. Difficult choices, especially if Anbernic doesn't have the mapping issues for keys like you claim your RP2+ does.

@TiberiusBravo87 I've enjoyed replaying old Gameboy titles in my (rare) spare time. The RP2+ is quite capable and has great battery life. My biggest complaint is that mapping buttons seems wonky at best. It's workable but has quirks. For instance, I had to remap select because the default select button won't work, even after mapping it manually. When I want to save a snapshot, it fast forwards the game. Weird shit.

@redpillschool The RP3 seems to be a bit of a bummer. Same chipset, they buffed the 2GB ram to 3GB, larger screen and all. But the start/select buttons are not on the front of the device. This is a major no-go for me, it means you will have to move your hand completely to hit those commonly used buttons. At this point the RP2+ is actually a better device ergonomically and $20 cheaper while still having a not-small screen like the Miyoo Mini. If you are interested in the RP3 due to it's shape and screen size you might as well go for the Aya Odin Lite at $200.
