Some Updates for Tribe Moderators:
New moderation tools for your tribe
You've got more control over your tribe's forum posts:
- Unlock threads - reopen a post that auto-locked from age. Unlocking gives it a fresh window before it can lock again.
- Lock with a reason - manually lock a thread and leave a short note that's shown to users (e.g. "Locked: off-topic").
- Temporary locks - lock a heated thread for a set number of hours; it reopens automatically.
- Move threads - relocate a mis-posted thread (and its comments) to another tribe you also moderate.
- Private mod notes - leave team-only notes on a user (right from their post) to track warnings and repeat issues.
- Tribe settings you control: set how long before posts auto-lock (default 90 days, or never), and turn on slow mode to limit how often users can post/comment.
Look for Unlock / Lock / Move / Notes under a post you moderate, and the new options in your Tribe Settings.
Read MorePartial success on the long post issue. One went through ok. Then I tried the one to Typo, and it gave a shorter there was a problem with your request message. I finally just split that post into 2 smaller bites and got them posted that way. Perhaps it might help if the error handling routine also shows the user a specific error code that they can pass on to you when reporting, so you don't burn a bunch of time trying to replicate the issue before getting to the fix. @redpillschool I'm having a similar issue in this very thread
@redpillschool deals with IRL interruption Meanwhile, I've made several "normal" posts with zero issues. The "timeout" period runs 0 to 2 seconds before the error message appears. Long post length, appears to represent the controlling variable to the problem's manifestation.
