If you haven't donated, please consider doing it, we're hard at work getting forums.red off the ground. Patreon update here:

@redpillschool I had to register to comment. I was on the forums years ago, and during the censorship/ban/whatever. I remember one of the earliest posts asking for feedback from the community about different ideas or models.
It's quite concerning that while many in the manosphere can make comfortable livings, the central post of it all (TRP platform) needs to ask for donations.
You must have considered different business models? There were loads of potential income streams discussed on the reddit forums way back. It's frustrating because with a business model the sky is the limit (money = power), without one.. perpetually stuck in this begging mode.
What can TRP provide that people will pay for? I think a lot of stuff.

@MentORPHEUS It's more like posting to user's wall. Only way to PM is using the chat interface.

Major glitch or labeling problem found! When posting in the box at the top of a user's profile page that says Post to [user] and in the box "message [user]," it may/may not message the user directly but IT POSTS IT IN THE PUBLIC SQUARE with an @username! Not expected, when I was using the "message [specific user]" box for a reason.

@redpillschool Would you please share your choice of server hosting companies and your experiences with them?

We're working on updating a "What's Hot" page that includes all public tribes + any tribe that you've subscribed to. Will update when we have info.

So I'm finding best performance is for web to have 1 cpu and a couple gigs of mem, but database needs at least 4 cpu and 8 gb ram. we'll tweak as needed. Moving forums.red today. #devnews

For those interested in what took place today:
We have long been on a fragmented setup. We have a dedicated database server, a dedicated caching server, but we did not have a dedicated web serving yet. Due to our dev being in a shared environment, we have been able to save a lot of money over the long run.
However, our life in a shared environment has come to an end. Reliability has not been good, and our traffic has considerably outgrown our resources.
So today we moved to a fresh server in the cloud, with a new infrastructure for caching and DB. We will come back to you soon with some updates on Forums.red.

@MentORPHEUS Yes, oversight. The voting fails due to the login check, but the initial action should be prevented.

Followed a link to forums.red where I was not logged on. Clicking upvote button resulted in perpetual motion spinny thing. If possible make logged-in features invisible or unclickable when not logged in.
