@INNASKILLZ2K20 I've read Ride The Tiger and I'm working through Revolt Against the Modern World.
I said "Evolian Pipedream" to mock the people who read him and think he's some saint that will lead us back to the age of divine hierarchy. Once again, don't get me wrong, I like his work and like his ideas, but I think he's become very fetishized among the community as of late and not enough people are entertaining different philosophers because they believe Evola is "it." I recommend everybody read Evola, flirt with his ideas, and then immediately begin reading other authors.
As for understanding the system, I do agree with you here; you need to understand how it operates to exploit it, but there is a rather worrying mix of systemic theorizing without as much utility as I'd like.
Lastly, lol at the Rollo jabs. I actually revisited my copy of TRM lately. Love his theorizing, still mixed feelings on him as an individual.Read More
@AFTSOV What we need and what is most likely to happen are two very different things. The masses of today are much different than the masses of the past. The masses today idealize and worship comfort and complacency which makes the population easier to be policed. I don't disagree with you at all; I dislike where society is going, but we are a minority. Most people don't question deeply at all and are in essence useless.
My question for you is a revolution against what and whom?
@INNASKILLZ2K20 It's not about whether or not TRP has always been political, because obviously it has, anybody who has done a semblance of reading in the archives would see that, it's a matter of how political we are and what we do with the information. Furthermore, it shouldn't be the primary focus of our discussions, it should just be something we discuss once in a while in addition to masculinity and game.
The TRP handbook (which is better than the sidebar in my honest opinion) does indeed talk about politics but it comes to the most pragmatic conclusion; stop talking about idealistic bullshit that will never happen and focus on making the most out of the collapsing system. GLO has done this once and that was his post about getting laid in June 2020. No wonder that post did so well compared to his more overtly political pieces.
It's not that I don't think politics have their place, they absolutely do, but I'm interested in the information I can use to exploit the system and make me live a better life and not bullshit that complains about how better things were in the past and Evolan pipedreams.Read More
@Osiris You seem to be misunderstanding my point. I'm well aware that TRP is more than just sexual strategy, I'm just trying to understand what the effects of having ECs constantly posting politically will have on the future content contributors. I can very easily see people coming in, seeing GLO and LR's posts and going "Oh, if they can talk about it, I can too!"
But that's simply not the case. As I said, most posts that talk that politically would get removed in a split second by the moderators; so, the question is more "Are ECs the only ones allowed to break all the rules the rest of us have to follow? And, if so, is that a good example for the community?"
@LastRevision I absolutely loved your post; but how does it tie into sexual strategy? You're an EC, but you're not following Rule Zero. Does being an EC mean you can just break Rule Zero?
Once again I personally loved the post, but I think you and GLO are opening a can of worms and turning TRP more political than it was intended to be, and it seems as if the mods are just nodding their heads slowly.
