@Typo-MAGAshiv Understand why @carnold03 makes those posts. It's news updates. Yeah, he does it regularly nearly to the point of spam sometimes, but what's the difference between the videos from say Tim Pool or TheQuartering that I post? I'm relaying news. He gets several articles put into a single post, more efficient than when I did it as I would just focus on one story at a time.

Would you believe me and Carnold had each other blocked at one point? It was a misunderstanding. He has great insight, not @Destraht levels of insight (displayed herewww.trp.red/feed/status/128955 ) but he's a lot smarter than he wants others to think.

Also understand if he's doing short joke posts or meme posts it's likely the same reason I do it: at the time I'm not in the mood for long discussions.

Your support is always appreciated. I still hope you find, or form, a debate club for adults where you live, but increasingly I find myself also hoping that when you're ready, you consider entering into local politics in your community as well.

@AFTSOV when you think about it, mankind is really just two words: mank and ind. Neither of which make any sense. Kind of like mankind.

Who else thinks @carnold03 should write more posts? I'm not talking about linking to another person's writing, which he does over abundantly. I want to hear some stories about his comic book writing, or some theory he has. One liners and memes might be how comic books work, but it doesn't have to end there.

What's an anchor baby?

I'm not against the requirement to serve but it needs to go beyond that. You don't need to know anything about politics to be a chef, and your intelligence certainly doesn't need to be above average to follow recipes.

I have some arguments in favor of hereditary monarchy but let's save that for another time.

I just stumbled back here, noticed the back and forth you're having with @TiberiusBravo87 on the topic of types of government, which has evolved into discourse on the subject of citizenship and enfranchisement.

Tib's absolutely right, the late Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" and the 90's sci-fi action flick adaptation directed by Dutch retard Paul Verhoeven, and scripted by Edward Neumeier are less about sci-fi action, and more about the philosophical discussion on concepts of responsibility and accountability of the individual fundamental to maintaining an ethically healthy, and morally balanced state or government, which in turn justly serves the populace.

A few years ago Sargon of Akkad did a lengthy, but fair summary of the philosophy of the story.

Honestly, I can definitely see the appeal to the formation of a real life Terran Federation, if a world government were to exist. A term of service to the state doing some filthy disgusting, mostly thankless job, and I can have the power through my vote to influence the state of affairs for millions of subordinate civilians. In some peoples mind, that might be an insane amount of power, but in the mind of a person who's had to submit to several years of placing their life in the hands of other people, some who might very well be idiots compared to me, forces you to recognize realities of a properly functioning ethical and moral society.

Once again you pretend as though your games are invisible on the thread, while the person calling it out is the fluff.

The no u game is strong in this one.

How did that happen. Russia?

The effects on world supply of the Russia situation precipitated the current spike in pump gas prices, which given every other influence were steady before and projected to be so in the period through now. Whether this was rational of the market or how long it lasts isn't very certain yet.

@SeasonedRP

If there were an announcement tomorrow that Keystone were going forward, there would be an instant, significant impact on prices.

Bwahahahahaa... The topic (that deliberately got fogged by its originators when a single question got posed) is RETAIL PUMP PRICES. And, those are high right now because of a major supplier going offline, constraining actual supplies.

An announcement about the pipeline getting approved to get built and start producing probably would cause a short term dip in the crude spot price and the PAPER futures market. It would NOT move the needle on retail pump prices, which quickly go up when the spot price does but NEVER go down rapidly when the spot and futures markets do. A bump in the paper crude spot and futures market gives no objective reason to believe it could last long under current supply/demand conditions. I think it will come and go more quickly than the normal slow timeline of pump prices lagging falling crude prices, hence not moving the needle.

That doesn't even address that the products sent through the Keystone are not even for the US domestic market and would thus only have a diluted at best effect on US pump prices over time. Or the risk profile of dilbit flow and spills that is much higher than with crude oil. Or that the extraction method is such a long term environmental clusterfuck. Or that the cost to extract per saleable BTU is absurdly high and only feasible by the sheer volume of the deposits making it profitable to burn $30+ worth of gas to sell $6 worth of gasoline at the pump.

@SeasonedRP Pipelines are the most efficient way to move liquids for certain. Railroads got rich during the initial oil boom because they had a literal monopoly on moving the new precious crude. Then some oilmen who had enough finances were able to lease or buy long tracts of land for pipelines to get around the railroads high costs eating into their profits. The railraods bet that no one could get that many different landowners to agree to let you build a pipeline. This is historical fact, so foolish for liberals to claim pipelines are not green when they actually make less carbon footprint than other transportation methods.

Also don't argue with Ment, total waste of time. Several of us kept presenting him with evidence in various discussions and he will swat it away like a child not wanting veggies.
