It's more than just boys.

We reported in yesterday's Vortex on the legal hellhole the archdiocese of Baltimore has fallen into, owing to a flood of 600 lawsuits over sexual predation of minors.

It is very likely that, in short order, Abp. William Lori will file for bankruptcy protection for his archdiocese — the first diocese established in America.

Aside from the symbolic blow such a move would be to the Church in the United States — joining 30 other dioceses in filing for bankruptcy for the same reason — there is an entirely overlooked aspect to all this as well.

It isn't just minors that have been sexually assaulted, although those cases are the ones that make headlines because of the victims' ages.

There are also vulnerable adults — especially seminarians who have been and are assaulted by homopredator clergy.

Recall that most of Theodore McCarrick's victims were not minors, although significantly some were, but were mostly seminarians at his Jersey Shore beach house — and then this went on for years.

Charges and accusations just like this have plagued seminaries and their faculties for decades now, up to and including the prestigious bishop factory in Rome: the North American College.

Most of the time, corrupt leaders circle the wagons and get rid of the whistle-blower seminarians and then return to business as usual.

One such leader who is accused of this is the Baltimore archbishop, William Lori, the chaplain of the Knights of Columbus who, by the way, has yet to release any statement on the Maryland attorney general's report proving Lori kept predators and cover-up personnel in place.

He knew what had happened and participated in the cover-up. For that alone, if he doesn't resign, he should be removed by Pope Francis.

The list keeps growing.

With the recent announcement by the diocese of Oakland, California, that it too would now join the growing list of bankrupt dioceses in the United States, the number now stands at 30 out of approximately 180. That's more than 15% of all dioceses in the country. However, there is a monster case, a very likely bankruptcy that is sitting out there in the wings, very likely to be filed sooner rather than later.

Church Militant broke the news a couple of weeks ago of the release of the state of Maryland attorney general's report nailing the archdiocese of Baltimore in its complicity in covering up hundreds of sex abuse cases. Baltimore is massively important because of its symbolic value to the Church here in the United States, being the first diocese erected in the new nation and therefore having pride of place.

For the past few decades, the archdiocese, it turns out, has been a cesspool of cover-up, secret payouts, shifting and/or hiding culprit clergy and doling out huge sums of parshioners' money to lawyers to keep it all under wraps. Church Militant has been all over this story for quite some time now, even before the A.G. report, and joining me on set for this Vortex is our producer/reporter Nick Wylie, who has been looking deeply into all this for us.

Or lying to you.

The archdiocese of Baltimore, the nation's first diocese, has seating at weekend Masses for 25,000 attendees. Only about 2,000 show up.

Ten years ago, under the leadership of the reported homosexual Cardinal Abp. Edwin O'Brien, the archdiocese set up one of those Madison Avenue marketing campaigns to make it look like they were taking the decline of the Faith back then seriously. They weren't.

Back then, the immediate issue was the plummeting enrollment and drastic falloff of Catholic schools. So, of course, a strategic plan was instituted and a blue-ribbon committee was established, complete with consultations and listening sessions. That's what they always do.

You'll notice there are never any strategic plans, blue-ribbon committees, consultations and listening sessions undertaken about how to teach the fullness of the Faith. These only happen when the bank accounts are hit.

In either case, that was 10 years ago. The result was even more losses.

Today, homosexualist Abp. William Lori has rolled out a new strategic plan. This one will not only deal with the drop in Catholic schools, but also Catholic parishes. The silly name given to the latest plan is "Seek the City to Come." They always have these stupid names.

Everyone really knows what's going on. It's nothing other than managing the decline. That's all it is.

The problem, as it is stated, is how to reorganize the current parish system to serve the needs of the people and the surrounding community. But Lori and the rest of the nation's bishops are lying to themselves.

You can't just keep rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Eventually, it sinks.

Baltimore or bust!

The Church Militant "Bishops: Enough Is Enough" rally next Tuesday in Baltimore is shaping up to be a historic event in the history of the Catholic Church in America. Knowledge of the evil and deceit of so many bishops is finally beginning to come to the conscious minds of faithful Catholics — no thanks to the efforts of that useless bishops' conference.

When we held the first rally back in 2018 in the foul wake of the Theodore McCarrick revelations, the bishops were falling over themselves, insisting on how they "knew nothing," "were greatly troubled over all of it," "were shocked"!

It's odd how hundreds of men knew nothing about the highest-ranking prelate in the United States having secret payouts made for him to victims. Insurance companies knew, attorneys knew, victims knew, seminarians in Rome knew, families of victims knew, chancery officials knew, the media knew — and yet, somehow, not one bishop in that room knew.

Depositions about McCarrick and his infamous beach house on the Jersey Shore were online 10 years before the news exploded — and yet, none of them knew. It's beyond preposterous to think none of them knew anything. The question isn't, Did they know? Heck, 10 years ago, the USCCB was firing off memos to Scranton's bishop, Joseph Bambera, telling him to not let Church Militant talk in his diocese.

Consider that for a second: Back in 2011, when Church Militant was little known, we were on the radar of the bishops, but the most prolific homopredator in the history of the U.S. hierarchy had been sexually abusing young men for decades. And none of them knew a thing?

They knew about little ol' Church Militant but not McCarrick? Right.

The question isn't, Did they know? The question is, Why didn't they act on the knowledge they had? When you get right down to it, that question answers itself. They didn't care about victims as much as they did covering their "miters" — a complete and total betrayal of their roles as spiritual fathers.

And then, of course, there is the other dynamic — that many of the men in that room are gay (some of them active), and the last thing they would want to do is draw any attention to that.

The homosexual network resurfaces.

Swimming in the corrupt waters of the U.S. hierarchy can be somewhat confusing if you don't understand the connections between many of these men.

Most are highly immoral and, as such, they keep company with each other. It's all about personal relationships and how and where all their paths have crossed. Remember, most bishops have done time in other dioceses before coming to a new one. In those other dioceses, they were almost always chancery rats who hung around with other chancery rats. Prior to that, they were in seminary and developed all sorts of relationships there as well.

As the years pass by in their careers, they forge deeper relationships with other scoundrels who eventually become bishops in their own right. And what we could call the internal migration within the hierarchy begins; the shifting of various scoundrels from one diocese to another and then on to another.

And when enough of these men have done enough shifting around, a web begins to form; an extensive network of cover-up and lies and deception all designed to insulate and protect themselves. That is the state of things right now — it's a virtually unbreakable web, akin to a steel mesh that is very difficult to penetrate unless you understand from the outset that this is what you are dealing with. In law enforcement, they call it a crime syndicate, with each mob boss protecting the other sufficiently to prevent his own corner of the web from crashing in.

No, it's not 'decades and decades' ago.

As Church Militant has been pointing to for at least a decade, the poison flowing through the U.S. hierarchy is the sin of sodomy.

It's certainly not confined to the United States, but it's well-ensconced here in the American hierarchy. The sin of sodomy and its embrace by so many bishops is what is responsible for countless cases of victimization of the faithful.

Be it physical victims or spiritual or both, homosexual bishops and priests have wrecked the Church in the United States, and battling for their victims is the whole point of our rally in Baltimore in a few weeks, one way or the other.

Three years ago, one of the biggest liars in robes — Cdl. Donald Wuerl — insisted in an interview that this whole case of homosexual abuse by homosexual bishops and clergy was decades and decades ago. That was a lie, as is almost everything he says in this regard. Not only did he himself cover up sex abuse, which came out after that interview, but the implication of his words is that nothing like this was still going on, even if it did happen in the past.
