I've nothing to forgive. Plenty I could criticize were I so inclined,a few I'd change if I could. But it ain't the Old Man's fault the world has passed him by and invalidated a lot of the wisdom he was taught as a kid.
Mine has been gone 17 years.
He wasn't close, I chalk it up to his being tossed out of his home when he was 13 years old, which would have been 1941ish.
I don't know much about his story during those years, I do know he was self-reliant and everything I learned from him was more through osmosis than being given hands-on instruction.
He was selfless and spent his days helping others.
I'm grateful for having him as a Father and I still miss him.
If you guys haven't forgiven your fathers yet do so, at least mentally
They often did the best they could for you with the knowledge they had for you at the time
@polishknight he's in India, if memory serves
No Costco for him, or likely any of those other brands you mentioned
Also Blue Collar, and retired.
I had a co-worker that transferred to a different department, who absolutely shamed the Company for one of the "Look How Wonderful We Are" series of pictures used as screensavers on our computers.
It showed a young Woman, resplendent in her pristine coveralls and hard hat, at the edge of a body of water, on one knee, foot just touching the water and examining a plant growing there.
She pointed out that their Standards/Policies/Procedures said that being within 25' of a body of water without wearing a PFD was a fireable offense.
I've long heard the sneering complaint that *Lingerie is demeaning and degrading to women and is a tool of men/patriarchy/misogyny etc ad nauseum.
Well... If you're not going to wear lingerie to try and make me feel more attracted to you, how about a plate of Linguine Alfredo?
@Typo-MAGAshiv as a retired Blue Collar Lifer, I get where you're coming from. But, you seem to miss that this IS his entire well established shtick for his compilation shorts. Him dressed in all brand new shit like a Compliance/safety fag from Corporate awkwardly taking in the numerous hazards and lax idiocy around the big job site. He keeps it moving with the same few canned emotive responses as a quick segue between clips, then always right on to the next clip which is what we clicked to see. There are other channels that actually do actively discuss and poorly analyze each clip, but very few do that well enough to make them worth watching.
Obligatory rocks say "OOOH!"
