@TiberiusBravo87 We'll know when we're there because it will be all my fault. Just sayin' that I'm kind of a big deal.
One family member was frothing hard at me during the worst of the lockdowns that I was causing them to suffer in California because I was in Transnistria walking around outside less masked than them. I mean, you know that in Missouri that you're a piece of shit, but you'd think that I could get some distance from it all.

@destraht I'm willing to put money on the line that this monkey pox outbreak they are already buying vaccines for is the new COVID. They released it on purpose and they want to use it as the excuse to shut things down.

@slutmagazine I'm curious when my California family will non-sarcastically warn me or blame me about monkey pox. I know that it will happen if this continues, it's just a matter of timing when I speak to them next.

@SeasonedRP Respect for bringing some useful figures to the discussion instead of emotional ego defense. These work fine for the discussion at hand and more importantly for those always stalling and complaining instead of proving, keep the discussion MOVING productively.
I was getting hyperbolic saying never, but you've proven here that there exists a differential in rising versus falling retail price, and that it favors the oil companies over the consumers. Which leads to the next relevant point here. The argument against and talk of legislation capping oil company profits is NOT that scarcity and inflation has made the dollar amount of oil company profits increase. The argument and conflict comes from the fact that in addition to that, the percentage of overall revenues has reached historic highs during this peak. IOW, nobody is complaining they're getting more because the pie got bigger. The complaint is they're taking a bigger slice than ever for themselves while consumers struggle to meet record high retail prices for fuel.
Whether Keystone products are for domestic consumption is mostly irrelevant.
It was also irrelevant in the Zerohedge article that kicked off this discussion. I called it out as part of a yes-ladder for conservatives because the article is not intended to inform but lead them to feel a certain kind of way, and it worked a treat with its targets.
And green energy is more of an environmental clusterfuck than anything in fossil fuels now. It's about money, not about saving the planet.
Another area where misinformation in a similar vein muddied the waters and convinced people things were absurd and impossible, which they continue to believe and assert even after these things have become routine and even affordable.

Apparently monkey pox is contagious by close skin contact. Looks like they'll actually have to recommend not using your phone in the bathroom for once.
Just kidding. You know they won't because they already know it was fake all this time.
Just like what happened with the other one.

@Typo-MAGAshiv Lol and you thought you were done with all of it.
I've only read summaries of Hobbes but one day I'll get around to reading what he actually wrote.
Meanwhile, it's not what you read, it's what you get out of it. Your eyes can gloss over the words but it doesn't mean you get the real meaning out of it. Especially if you can't consider the fact that something can be both a republic and a democracy at the same time, or that separate branches doesn't mean it can't be a democracy.
