@lurkerhasarisen my parents had a huge collection of National Geographic magazines dating back to the late 1960s when I was a kid in the 1980s. I remember many articles warning of the upcoming Ice Age.

I was thinking about becoming the California terror of my small single lane dirt road in Tiraspol. I can feel the power surging through me as I type this. I would be like a god. All would fear me.

My father remembers how we were all supposed to have a global cooling calamity.
I'm old enough to remember when global cooling was imminent. It was - as everyone "knew" at the time - SETTLED SCIENCE. The spot where I'm typing right now is just a bit below 90F right now: yet according to the climate scientists of my youth, this spot should be under a 1000 feet of glacial ice by now.
It's shocking to me how effectively the scientific consensus about an ice age beginning by the year 2000 has been memory-holed. Wikipedia made a concerted effort to scrub literally thousands of references to it from mainstream scientific sources dating from the 1940s to the 1980s. People who didn't live through the "imminent global cooling" era can't access the literature online without an enormous amount of effort. The articles are out there if you know where to look, but searching for the sources using the keywords "global cooling" is more likely to lead to articles denying it than any of the hundreds of peer-reviewed papers and textbooks that declared it as indisputable fact. Unless they run across their grandparent's old textbooks in some attic, they'd never know that the consensus for massive global cooling by 2020 was every bit as pervasive as the current consensus for massive imminent global warming is today.

@SeasonedRP There was a glacier that had a sign saying it was supposed to melt by 2020. Glacier is still there, global warming is a sham. My father remembers how we were all supposed to have a global cooling calamity. It's just hysteria meant to garner panic votes, that is all the liberal left does.

I've noticed a big push towards finger prints the last five years. Are finger print scanners super gay? @destraht @TiberiusBravo87

considered Russia a failed superpower that couldn't handle their own shit much less stand up to the entire world once again.
It's part of the narrative of finally defeating the evil empire. You can't claim a great victory of your enemy just rises again in a couple of decades.
