I was speaking generally. One way to create a bunch of hate and terror in your future is to bomb people in other countries.

I KNOW we did not do that in Venezuela. And perhaps this is my point - THAT is how you should do it. In fact, I am sure the CIA is responsible for the deaths of quite a few world leaders over the years. No blame, no warships.

I despise communism with every fiber of my being. Like you have no fucking idea. I have good reasons, which I will not go into here now.

So the Venezuela move was a good one. Not to mention the Russian and Chinese implications shown in that video I linked to earlier.

And with that, I am happy. Fuck other countries getting up in our grill.

Now if we could just take out Zelensky, I could die a happy man.

Then for the EXACT same reasons, we should have taken out Israel and a few other countries/leaders a long time ago.

Saddam signed on to an agreement not to have WMDs as a condition of the cease-fire at the end of Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

Israel has never signed any such agreement (and it would be foolish of them to do so).

So too, do the war mongers build future terrorism, that they will not pay for. Our children and grandchildren have to pay the bill.

The bungling around then sudden abandonment we did in Iraq and Afghanistan fits that, but the precision removal of an illegitimate dictator won't. Especially when the people he's been starving are absolutely thrilled.

I saw a street interview with a celebrating Venezuelan yesterday who put it quite well. Translation paraphrased from rough memory:

of course the US is interested in oil! What did you think the Chinese and Russians were interested in, our recipe for [some dish I never heard of]?! Everyone wants oil, and I'd rather we work with the US and benefit than just get exploited by China and Russia.

In the real world, everyone wants shit.

Might as well be us who uses it. We're far kinder than the alternatives.

I'm sure that's a calculation, I can't recall any other times we arrested a dictator with out war so I'm seeing what happens without conjecture

Many people say muh oil - maybe. As much as people think Trump is a retard, I think threes a serious geopolitical play here.

This is aimed strongly at Russia and China whilst amintains US interests.

@Vermillion-Rx I completely get what you are saying about the lives, time, and money wasted in the Middle East. I will state that Venezuela does have one major difference of being relatively close to the US. So that factor helps make the operation happen more easily and quickly.

Even if a quick op was not in the cards for Iraq or Afghanistan, it still does not justify the costs of the wars.
