Netanyahu spent a week in Washington right before this blew up. Epstein was definitely used to generate kompromat on elites and elected officials. If the US public knew how deeply and thoroughly Israel manipulates the US political system, we might actually finally kick them to the curb.
Focusing the Epstein scandal entirely on the person of Trump, serves to distract attention away from the Deep Israel connection.

@SeasonedRP that's a big part of Trump's response strategy. Try to play it off as NBD. problem with that, he made "releasing the Epstein files" a major part of his campaign, and a weapon he was going to unleash upon "the left " if elected, and one of the defining factors that supposedly set him apart from the Deep State and establishment political class.
There's no way a reasonable person could square all that with what he is doing now with the subject, denial and attacking his own base for... having the audacity to hold him to his own big campaign promises.
This isn't even the only YUGE promise he's completely going against. He promised to end "biden's wars " on day one, instead he's massively ramping up US involvement in Ukraine and the Middle East. He promised to slash the debt and deficit, but massively piled on to both.
