Question for onlookers: How does everybody lean politically?

@MentORPHEUS What @Typo-MAGAshiv said. There are many inefficient markets in the U.S. where cronyism, government favors, and connections prevail rather than competition on price and services. I read something truly remarkable about Epstein: he had the CIA's airline moved from Florida to Columbus, Ohio. How can a private citizen do such a thing?

@SwarmShawarma again, you can't blame capitalism for that

Especially when most of those countries are socialist

@Stigma no kidding.

I actually like Melania as a person, but I am not remotely interested in seeing that movie.

Then again, it's probably better than most of the woke crap churned out over the past decade+

I've been subscribed to Baron Coleman's channel since catching his ~2 hour presentation on the Las Vegas mass shooting event on Tucker Carlson's show. Baron was a corporate lawyer for over 2 decades, who recently retired from that to do podcasting full time, as the quality of his presentations draws an audience that pays handsomely.

Like a trial lawyer, he starts his show with an Opening Statement as though his audience were a jury.

This episode discusses the move by Tyler Robinson's "defense team" to request the trial be conducted in secrecy. The first 1.5h are the episode itself; by then you may find it worth staying on to listen to his responses to live chat interactions.

2 minutes in to this episode, he presents a cartoonized version someone made, of a segment from one of his recent shows, wherein he mimics the likely response of an employee paid $43,000 a year to sweep the cigarette butts in the parking lot and clean the toilets at TPUSA Headquarters, to Erica Kirk's Zoom call address to TPUSA employees literally days after her husband was killed, wherein she tells the staff "to journal about their feelings and memories of Charlie", and that she loves them. This alone is ROFL hilarious and worth seeing.

In this episode's Opening Statement, Baron goes in depth on Elizabeth Holmes, a bright and promising scientific mind from a very wealthy background, who was persuaded by a man many decades her senior to start a company with a million to one chance of success, which was Theranos that produced a bulls-it testing device that the Rockstar Well Connected Board of Directors parlayed into a multimillion dollar valuation at the start of the Covid Plandemic, only for the fakery to get revealed, the company's stock to crash to zero, and the young woman to go from "Self Made Millionaire" to jail inmate.

He then compares this to the rise of Charlie Kirk, who got persuaded at 17 by a 70-something man to forget college, and travel around the country promoting Libertarian economics and Christianity to college students. This grew into a multi million dollar enterprise with a board of directors whose commitment to the core foundational values above appears scant on post hoc scrutiny. When the whole thing started to go off its externally predetermined rails, instead of Jail, Charlie ended up in the grave.

Typo, I'm sure you'll appreciate Coleman's POV and attention to detail. Watching this, will reveal the actually right-aligned DNA of many of my claims, positions and assertions within this thread and elsewhere. Your impression of me as a far-left Liberal/Marxist/Commie is not likely to survive an honest listen, I might caution you.

@MentORPHEUS

If Capitalism is supposed to work as a market driven Meritocracy

supposed to

That's an easy one.

People are still involved, and people suck. Nepotism, cronyism, etc.

Capitalism is the closest to fair we can possibly do in an inherently flawed, unfair world.

The Melania movie bombed epically hard. Big theaters reported single digit ticket sales on opening night. The memes have been hilarious, one showed Melania tickets under a windshield wiper, with the caption Just came out of Costco... Every car in the parking lot.

@MentORPHEUS I would say people are reasonable then. Who gives a fuck about her? Even for the women... except being arm candy she doesn't really stir up shit like tiktok girls, if she would appear on epstein files doing some weird shit and film would be advertised: this is how 50 shades of Melanie is done... I could see 1 woman buying 3 tickets.

That also goes for Trump I believe. If there would be like 100% definite proof on him. Reasonable people wouldn't have problem to flush him in the toilet as long as someone would guarantee the same no BS politics - or whatever people believe. Sure him being a face of changes, support would go down in reality.
