Welp, it had to happen eventually. Somebody will want to talk politics so here it is. This is specifically for US Politics.
I will make rules as I see the need but fro now please just be kind to each other.
The GOP convention in Texas is suffering from very low attendance and enthusiasm. Donald Trump decided he needed to make the keynote address both nights to a hall with large sections of empty seats. At one point he said that thousands of people were waiting outside to get in. So someone immediately viewed a walk outside, and showed there was literally not one single person outside. People who monitor such things, report that one consistent pattern held up: When the GOP convention arrived in town, the local Grindr app crashed under a huge demand surge.
@MentORPHEUS The exchange rate is a fundamental indicator of conditions in a country; it's the opposite of cherry picking. Be wary of the moralistic fallacy when considering reports about the Iran situation. Iran is in really bad shape. Would be nice if all this would end soon.
The exchange rate is a fundamental indicator of conditions in a country; it's the opposite of cherry picking.
A rats nest of presumptions underlying this statement. That currencies aren't manipulated by the bankster and Globalist class, and that the present Western economic system's present valuation of the Rial's exchange worth isn't affected by the same Globalist class imposing decades of sanctions and trade restrictions, including outright theft of trillions in Iran's wealth.
BRICS and the SCO are poised to take most of the world's countries and currencies off the board away from where the Western elite dominated monetary system has long played them..
Would be nice if all this would end soon.
Literally all the wars of my Adult life going back to the 80s, I've been told by partisan gob slobberers that "This is going to be quick! President is just gonna go in there, and kick some ASS! Country is gonna be a cake walk. We're gonna be in and out of there!!! America has been in Iran's business and borders, since 1953 when my Dad was just a little kid.
Read More@MentORPHEUS The Rial to dollar exchange rate is over 2.2 million per $1. 10 year treasuries are below 5%. The Strait of Hormuz isn't all that important now and will be less so going forward. I have many questions about what is going on and how things are being handled, but Iran isn't kicking anyone's ass.
@SeasonedRP The current exchange rate of the Rial seems like cherry picking the metric most favorably considerable. Try measuring 5KUSD Iranian missile vs 2x 1.5 million$ Patriot interceptor game iterated 500-2,000 rounds.
Iran appears to have kicked America's boastful and overconfident ass last night in Jordan. Footage shows new generation IRGC missiles raining down on US bases where high end aircraft are stationed, and MIC enriching Interceptors getting impotently fired against them in numbers that will require years and yet another 8 figure mid fiscal year infusion into the Pentagon budget to replenish.
The so called US Naval blockade has gotten pushed to an even greater and less effective distance from the strait, with the only advantage of shortening the supply lines.
Military commentators are saying that the US military has gotten pushed out of many of our bases around the middle east, and will never return to most of these.
The strategic petroleum reserves have gotten drawn down to the point of permanent damage to the salt caverns, with no end to the conflict in sight to keep US retail fuel prices artificially low.
Bond yields are wavering and set to further complicate the sustainably of the 40 trillion dollar US debt.
Bottom line, the United States is speed running the end of our post WWII days in the world hegemon sun. 1929 is going to look like a hiccup compared to the dark years ahead.
Read More@MentORPHEUS I had zero issues with what you said about Milo.
The rest of it was the lies and bullshit, such as:
when they [ICE] targeted "the other," which included full born American citizens who dared protest ICE tactics particularly blatantly illegal ones
1) ICE hasn't "targeted" American citizens.
2) a lot of what your ilk calls "protests" isn't protesting as much as it is disruption, obstruction, and interference with federal officers carrying out their lawful duties.
But I was originally willing to ignore your bullshit to focus on the core issue: Milo should have followed the law, and not expected special treatment.
a post full of lies and leftist propaganda
I stand behind what I wrote in the OP. Milo did in fact, get deported by the very enforcement mechanism he built a brand around cheerleading it getting used upon countless others, and his interview post hoc on Piers Morgan lacked self awareness and accountability for both his enthusiasm for the consequence of deportation getting used on others, and the reality of his own lack of compliance with immigration laws resulting in the same outcome for himself.
Numerous Red Pill principles at play in the whole situation. Odd that you read the post as full of lies and leftist propaganda, and odd/incongruent the responses you made downstream from there.
Thread recap so far:
-
you: asks what people think of Milo being deported, embedded within a post full of lies and leftist propaganda.
-
respondents (me and Vermy): ignore the bullshit, focus on central issue and say he should have followed the law.
-
RPS: points out that expecting special treatment because of whatever side you're on is leftist behavior
- you: replies with the biggest lie I've seen you tell yet, which is:
Organizing to oppose unjust laws and resist oppressive regimes, make time honored Left Wing tactics. Obediently carrying out authoritarian orders up to and including murder of captives and civilians without a twinge of conscience, that's definitionally Right Wing behavior.
-
me: points out the millions of lives exterminated by communist governments
- you: divert and obfuscate, change the subject, divert divert divert, what about what about what about, divert divert divert
You argue like a woman. When you know you're wrong, you attempt to change the subject and divert.
