I think you're projecting into "all Democrats/Leftists" the same emotional loyalty to "their team" that the MAGA cohort is showing toward Trump and Elon at present.
Perhaps you're not aware how much principled Democrats and Left-leaning or "non-Right" thinkers came to HAAAAATE Joe Biden, calling him Genocide Joe? And how little Kamala gave this bloc of voters to like about her? Her snippy, "I'M SPEAKING," and especially handling the soft-ball question of how would your Administration be different from Biden's with a clueless, "[Uuum... NO I can't think of one single way it would be ANY different..?]" were two of the biggest nails in the coffin of her shittily run Presidential campaign.
