Iran could have surrendered its nuclear program
This represents a simplistic and very dull mainstream take on the topic.
Iran has been fully cooperative with IAEA inspectors. Trump's own National Security advisor told him clearly that no evidence exists that Iran is currently, or has going back to the early 2000s, working on any kind of nuclear weapons program.
You know what nation in the region is NOT compliant with IAEA and other standards about a large undeclared nuclear arsenal that they possess? Israel.
Israel's unprovoked attack on Iran in the midst of Iran cooperating with international inspectors, goes to show that perhaps Iran SHOULD have possessed a nuclear weapon as a deterrent!
Now Pakistan has stepped in, to announce to Israel that they will use their own atomic weapons on Israel if it uses any on Iraq.
Are you really sure about supporting Israel's actions here??? Have you thought the situation through and looked deeper than what MSM is saying about this developing situation?

The Marines didn't touch any civilians, and so far I haven't heard of any reports of non-violent peaceful protesters being harmed in any way.
Because, again, they were not needed or wanted by local law enforcement- Trump deploying them was 100% performative. Everything was 100% under control.
the left lost any moral high-ground when they threw their last tantrum. The left seems to think they can use political violence every time they don't get their own way,
This is not considered a "left" issue by people living in Los Angeles. Again, this was a political stunt, an avatar for issues that get the Right Wing base riled up. But right-leaning people here in Los Angeles don't feel threatened or invaded by "The Mexicans.
It's a REALLY BAD precedent to send troops into cities to deal with civilian law enforcement matters. Frankly I'm disappointed to see you defending this so.
Introducing some isms
Deploying military troops for civilian law enforcement, IS AUTHORITARIAN by its nature. The rhetoric I hear people not from Los Angeles using about immigrants and the ICE raids, IS the language of small minded racist fucks. If you don't want to own it, that's on you, but I see dismissing this as "Isms" a cowardly cop out.

@MentORPHEUS Here's the problem. The left lost any moral high-ground when they threw their last tantrum. The left seems to think they can use political violence every time they don't get their own way, and it's a serious problem. Especially when the people on the right get jail time and arrested for defending themselves.
You guys hit the country with your bully tactics and then clutch your pearls every time you get what you wanted: a reaction.
The national guard was a good call. The left now knows we're not going to tolerate political violence.
The Marines didn't touch any civilians, and so far I haven't heard of any reports of non-violent peaceful protesters being harmed in any way.
So all of your tears are hyperbole over something that isn't happening, while simultaneously defending the group that keeps on starting these damn fights.
racism and authoritarianism
Introducing some isms because the left can't win an argument without them.

act they still haven't surrendered under these circumstances should be a red pill to everyone that they were never going to negotiate anything i
What the fuck are you on about? Iran WAS actively negotiating with the next meeting scheduled last Sunday. Then Israel unilaterally launched a war against them.
Why the absolute fuck SHOULD Iran "surrender"???

@Lionsmane8 I saw an interesting conspiracy theory floated, no pun intended. The USS Nimitz, which is slated for decommissioning next year, is getting sent into the Persian Gulf region as a deliberate sacrificial lamb, to try to draw fire in order to justify the US going balls-deep in Israel's badly failing attack on Iran (which I remind did NOT attack Israel!)

if you think the libs gets to riot summer-of-love style (including declaring autonomous zones) without some pushback from the law and order men, well, you're drinking some koolaid.
This is at the very crux of the issue. THERE ARE NOT WIDESPREAD RIOTS IN LOS ANGELES! Trump is behaving as if this were true even as you can see in the background of live news reports that life is going on as usual a block away from where troops are positioned.
Trump sending National Guard troops then Marines to "protect" Los Angeles, is purely performative. It's sickening as a local, to see people in other states cheering this on.
The LAPD doesn't want or need troops to maintain order. The Governor of California does not want or need troops to maintain order. Given this, how can anyone outside our state Justify this action, without performing as an authoritarian boot-licker in the process of doing so?
Think long and hard, about what you are expressing support for here, and why!!!
Frankly, I'm quite glad to see citizens pushing back against ICE raids on people who are working shit jobs to earn an honest living, and going through the processes of obtaining legal status. It's disgusting to send ICE agents to courthouses to target these specific individuals. Word also spread around the County that ICE agents went to a number of swap meets in their effort to meet numeric quotas.
Look, if people in Flyover states want the Feds to come in and arrest laborers in places like farm fields and meat packing plants- fine, welcome them, and live with the consequences which don't happen to actually benefit the rest of the residents of the state.
But, FUCK OFF with cheering troops getting sent to places around California, because it fits your anti-liberal sentiments. Don't use California as an avatar for your racism and authoritarianism- Own it and play it out yourselves in your own states, and live with the consequences yourselves.
Read MoreThe left won but at what cost to women?
Nah, you got it totally wrong. Capitalists won.
I had seen this move towards "rediscovering traditionalism" a few years back, and warned that TRP should keep the "historical memory" of why traditionalism never did cut it.
It's basically outlined in Esther Vilar's The Manipulated Man. You still got a nagging, rather than a satisfied wife. And then you couldn't even get rid of her.
The Left... They tried to harness and coopt women's natural restlessness and inability to conform to any notion of civilization, in order to supposedly undermine Capitalism. What they ended up with is wiping themselves out, in the chaos and irrationality that women induced in their ranks. (And I'm speaking from experience...)
As it turned out, Capitalism was much more in position to take advantage of the female characteristics, namely excessive consumption and a constant discontent that drove men towards an unattainable ideal of the super provider-Chad (the mythical Alpha provider), essentially towards exhaustion and jadedness.
Not only the working class, but with women as the battering ram, they managed to bring down the middle class as well.
