@NeoSpartan I can't think of the name for it, but you can get a hardened piece of plastic that snaps onto the barbell and distributes the weight along your shoulders instead of just on your spine.
Can't find it on Google at the moment.

I actually just recently stopped skipping it lol, noticed myself getting a little soft, do not like that :/
That is true about the presses, I just don't wanna fuck up my back you know? Slipped discs are way too common with dudes who do heavy squats. I don't just do presses though, also do hypers, machine isolations, calf raises and hip thrusts. Heaviest I ever squatted was 225 for 8 but I think I gotta work back up to that, right now I'm doing 185 for 10. Anyway, not going below 8 reps. Not worth it imo.
