Listen dude, at 21, there are maybe 0.01% of the male population that is going to be able to 'spin plates'. Life at 21 for a male is hard mode. You are going to be living off scraps for a while. You may be able to bang some chicks from time to time, that is going to be your limit, unless you are exceptional.

At this point in your life, you should be 95% focused on career, networks, and education. That is what is going to help you. Forget about game. Build yourself. Trust me, build your life. Don't waste your energies on a game that you really cannot win. I didn't say go monk mode, but really, if you are aiming to be 'spinning plates' at 21, and you are not in the top 0.01% of men, you are in for a hard ride.

Fun story. I knew at a company they were laying off all the Americans to outsource so... I decided to be a gangster. I probably played this song every other day. Here's one thing I did. I CAREFULLY avoided doing something to get me fired for cause. So get this, a dickhead executive said that although there was no "white male" employee groups, I was free to attend ANY one I wanted.

So I attended the women's employee group meeting.

Damn it feels good to be a gangster!

I asked a fellow Pollak to go with me and I saw the look of sheer terror on his face. So I went alone. I was the only white guy there. A white male and Asian male director was leading it. They had the cheapest ass pizza out so I grabbed 3 slices and a half bottle of diet coke and sucked it down. Then I listened.

The women were absolutely barely conscious. I mean, they could barely speak during the meeting as if they were all abused housewives or something. Absolutely astonishing.

So I then just said who I was at the meet and greet. That I didn't know where else to attend.

About 2 weeks later I got called into a surprise meeting and I knew what that meant. I was prepared and...

They were doing layoffs. I got a severance package. A GREAT one.

One of the best days of my entire life.

Many, MANY years ago when I was still wearing a blue uniform, we were taught about the OODA loop and its originator, a fighter pilot named John Boyd. He was describing the process of getting “inside” an adversary’s decision cycle to get kills in aerial combat.

Like many general axioms (such as the Pareto Principle), there are countless other applications. I was giving a class to the staff of an Army battalion, and I talked to them about using Information Collection and OPSEC to get inside the enemy OODA loop. After I finished my class, the members of my team (three retired Army O-5s, and retired Army E-9, and a retired Army E-7) asked me what the hell an OODA loop is. Not one of them has ever heard the term. A similar thing happened when I had different teammates, including a retired Army BG and a couple of retired Army O-6s. Subsequently, any time I used the term from the podium I explained what it means.

As far as applying useful stuff to your life, that's mostly determined by you, what jives with your experience, and what your goals are (and you're allowed to change your mind).

In other words: just start trying and applying stuff. Mindful application. Observe, orient, decide, act. Then back to observe again, and continue the OODA loop.

As for some of the links not working, can you tell us the specific titles? Some of us who remember what to look for might be able to dig it back up. Caveat: we all have lives, careers, etc and don't do this shit for a living, so don't expect instantaneous results (or even a response every time).

What really sucks is the internet as it used to be is kind of dying, and a lot of good shit is getting lost. The entire internet is turning into about a half-dozen social media sites posting screenshots of shit from the other sites, and AI-generated garbage.
