Don't waste her time boys.
(Side note: What a fucking crass admission by this woman. Talk about vile)
A faint secondary bow exists beyond the frame.
You mean you missed your chance to capture footage of a...

ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY?!

@Kloi Well done to impress her with the outdoors. I hope you make some more good trips.
One of my biggest disappointments has been never have had a woman who really liked the outdoors. The ones I have had would dip their toe into the outdoors when they are feeling keen on you but I always knew they would rather I had taken them to a hotel. I always wished I had one of those women who wanted to know nature on their own initiative not just as a second choice to please me and always then with as much technology as they could persuade me to have. Lets hope you have more joy than I did there.

@polishknight My wife and I also tried Raising Canes, and we did not finish the food, as we found it to be awful. I actually lost my appetite eating it, because it was just that bad.
I don't consider my standards too high for what I am able to enjoy. Even if something is not that good, I can still like it on a pass-fail scale. Raising Canes fails.

@Typo-MAGAshiv A banana for breakfast, typically. It depends upon the fruit available. I agree that fat loss is meaningless if it's coming at the expense of muscle mass which I can't afford to lose at my age so I have something with protein before my workouts.
I've seen seeing improvements in my weight lifting numbers plus my bloodwork came back better than 6 months ago (overall has been pretty good except I wanted to beef up my Vitamin D numbers) My father history has high cholesterol including my.9 year old daughter, sadly.
I do love steak and regularly make it for the whole family including my daughter who wolfs it down.
Neither us jumped in but there were a few kids swimming. Air temp ranged from 45° at night to highs of 65°. Water temp was 50-60° with 15-30mph gusts. Lake Gichigami doesn't play.
Girlfriend was not happy at first when she realized I only packed hammock and tarps for shelter. She left impressed.
Whole trip was her idea after hearing me and my boy discussing our old backpacking trips. It's been years and it definitely rekindled my spirits.
Pricing out gear on our ride home right now.
I'm in northern Utah rather than southern California but we've a similar climate between the two and that just looks like standard late autumn scrubland in a desert to me. Everything looks dried out and dead this time o' year.
