@redpillschool I think it's going to be challenging getting more people onto this site unless reddit does something drastic, as you essentially need different strategies for the different audiences that might come here:

1) The content creators - E.g GLO - A lot of these guys are already on here, but if they don't engage with the site fully, then you won't have the content to attract an audience. Direct outreach will probably work best for anyone not already on here.

2) Red Pill Aware people - These will be people already on the sub-reddits. E.g /r/theredpill, /r/marriedredpill, /r/purplepilldebate, and manosphere blog readers - These will be the core readership and will need to be targeted on their current platforms, which can be done by engaging in discussions on those platforms and linking to relevant content on here.

3) Normies - Aside from word of mouth, which you have no control over, this is going to be about getting found in organic search. This is why the content creators are so important. You want a guy typing "Why won't my wife have sex with me anymore?" into Google to end finding a high quality article written by #1 and being discussed by #2 rather than ending up reading some shitty article on The Guardian telling him that he needs to do more washing up. The best way to tackle this is to have someone do the research to know the sorts of questions that normies are asking, a good place to get an overview is answerthepublic.com and then try to get someone to write an article for the site on it. You will also need to build the authority of the site (basically referring domains) to start getting traffic to the site this way.

@Osiris I have still been going, though only 3 confirmed cases in my city so far. I feel like if I stop, my mental health will deteriorate and then I'll probably just end up doing things that are even more risky like drinking in busy pubs as a means to get out of the house. One of the main things that I keep telling myself is that exercise is good for the immune system, so it's probably beneficial to keep going until the virus hits my city big time.

@destraht wasn't IDKFA the weapons cheat on the original doom? It's funny how I seem to remember cheats from all the games I played in the 90s.

@redpillschool It hasn't been loading for a few days using Safari on my iPhone. I initially thought it was DNS related but it still failed to load after changing DNS servers.

@Abaddon I had a lot of issues with the overhead press when I began lifting (and it is still my weakest lift by far). I was often in pain for days after doing it, so I started dialing back the weight until I wasn't getting any pain and then slowly added weight over time (in 2.5kg increments). I think that it is one of those lifts where it is easy to let your ego get in the way as you might be squatting or deadlifting with 6 plates and your overhead press looks ridiculous in comparison.

@redpillschool the site has had a big spike in referring domains in Feb, so you can expect that the site will start to rank better than before.

@destraht same here. I'm still waiting for the terrible eyesight that my mum promised me would happen from spending too long staring at sceens. I'm in my 30s now and I still have great eyesight.

@bloodexorcist I believe that it's due to kids not spending enough time outside in sunlight. There is some evidence that lack of sunlight while the eye is developing causes myopia www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/pmc4451516/

Exposure to Sunlight Reduces the Risk of Myopia in Rhesus Monkeys
Exposure to sunlight has recently been postulated as responsible for the effect that more time spent outdoors protects children from myopia, while early life exposure to natural light was reported to be possibly related to onset of myopia during childhood. ... | PubMed Central (PMC)

@destraht I don't know much about the relationship between Vit D & cholesterol other than cholesterol is required for the body to produce Vit D from sunshine. Perhaps these low cholesterol / low fat diets that have been the trend since the 80s reduce the amount of Vit D that people can get from the sun.

There are some side effects of high Vit D supplementation though, mainly due to the effects of hypercalcemia as Vit D increases calcium absorption. I take a Vitamin K2 supplement to combat this, which helps your body get the calcium from your blood into your bones & teeth. They should be taken at separate times though as they impact the absorption of eachother.

@destraht there is some evidence that vitamin d reduces cytokine production, so it might be a good idea to start supplementing. I take around 10,000IU a day in the winter because I can't get any where I live from Nov - March through the sun, though those in sunny countries who are outside a lot won't need it. journals.lww.com/pidj/fulltext/2010/10000/vitamin_d_supplementation_could_reduce_the_risk_of.30.aspx

The linked paper suggests UVB exposure (which produces vitamin d) could explain 46% of the difference between mortality rates of people in northern climates and southern climates during the Spanish Flu pandemic.
