I’m in an odd situation with my social circle. I have been for quite a while now. I won’t get into the details however, I feel trapped. Most of, if not all my friends are mutually close with a girl I previously, perhaps currently had oneitis for. I can’t cut all contact like I would because that would mean avoiding going out whenever she is present.

Should I just straight up tell my friends I won’t be there if she is there? It’s kind of weird especially because it seems like everything is fine and they will definitely ask for an explanation and I could just say “I’m not trying to be friends with her”

I am fairly young and new to all of this so forgive me if I sound like some love struck amateur.

Also, if anyone is interested in helping a brother out, I will give more context, it goes way deeper than this
